Being contacted to light an underground space with no natural light is always a combination of challenging and exciting. As a lighting designer, we’re effectively given a blank canvas to manipulate as we like. With all of our schemes we believe control and flexibility is key in creating dynamic spaces. Working with VITA’s raw/exposed material palette, we introduced both general track lighting and elements of feature that responded to the architecture. The main suspended feature acts as a wayfinding tool tying each pocket of space together. Comprised of tubes of coloured LED that intercept the architecture, the illusion of an almost continuous flow is created down the length of the space finishing ‘beyond’ the end mirror. Artin Light

NEW SHOTS - UNION GYM MCR Artin Light Were delighted to share with you some shots from our recently completed gym project in collaboration with VITA. Strong simplistic graphic lines complimented the raw interior finishes creating an underground immersive interior. The use of mirrors in combination with tactically positioned lighting created the sense of larger spaces playing on the architectural features and structural collonades. We are extremely proud of this one. Thank you to our amazing client and the delivery team who made this happen. Vita Group Alice Harrison Maya Gribby James Wale MSc MCIOB MRICS RENAKER

What if a single project could reshape how we experience a city?   When tasked with redesigning Manchester’s iconic Piccadilly Gardens Pavilion, we knew we weren’t just updating a structure. We were reimagining a vital part of the city’s heart.   The Pavilion, originally designed in 2002 for The Commonwealth Games, served as a visual and acoustic barrier for over 20 years. But it needed to evolve. Our solution? "Weave", a stunning art installation crafted in collaboration with the brilliant Manchester artist LAZERIAN and the innovative lighting designers at Artin Light.   "Weave" doesn’t just enhance the Pavilion. It celebrates it. Transforming it into a space that feels loved, respected, and alive. We’re excited to see this transformation featured in the latest issue of FX Magazine. A huge thank you for showcasing this project and its story. At SpaceInvader we believe public spaces shape how we connect and thrive as communities.

NEW PRO SHOTS INCOMING JUNCTION MANCHESTER Artin Light Another bold and vivid venue has landed in Manchester, and we had the privilidge of working alongside Up North Architects Limited Patrick Thomas and Manchester Central on this game changing project. Situated in the world class venue of Manchester Central, Junction offers a full F&B offering for both Manchester Central users and also the general public. The lighting design drew inspiration from the origins of Manchester Central Station and its history, as well as the modern industrial interior design features which were designed by UNA. We have no doubt this will be an incredibly successful venue, and a great location to play and work in the city centre. Hats off to the full team who helped deliver this epic project. They’ll be more to come so watch this space. NEW PROJECT SHOTS - NAPOLEON CASINO, LEEDS Artin Light Maya Gribby Stuart Alexander We are pleased to share with you some shots from our recently completed project with Chapman Taylor Napoleon Casino, Leeds. Artin Light collaborated with Chapman Taylor (Andrew Carroll Emma Brook) on the stunning refurbishment of the Leeds site. The client was extremely passionate about the lighting design for the project, understanding the impact it has both functionally and aesthetically, and this was key to the successful delivery of the project. Chapman Taylor led the design development of a new look and feel for the well-established brand across multiple venues, building on the success of projects in Manchester and Bradford. Each venue is identifiable as part of the family of branded venues whilst responding to individual contexts to give each venue a unique personality. The revamped venue celebrates Leeds’ historic cinematic roots, combining the timeless allure of classic design with modern luxury and detailing, delivering a sophisticated and opulent experience for patrons. Amazing effort from all the design and construction team on the delivery of the project. #lightingdesign #hospitalitydesign #Leisure #LeisureInteriors #Interiors #InteriorDesign #InteriorDesigners #LuxuryInteriorDesign #Design #Casino #CasinoDesign #CasinoInteriors #NapoleonsCasino gunner gu photography

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CLIENTS AND COLLABORATORS. 2024 has been an amazing year for Artin Light and I'm extremely proud and honoured to have worked with some truly inspiring clients and collaborative designers who have given us these incredibly opportunities. I'm eternally grateful for this support, and I hope 2025 brings some more incredible collaborations and completed projects to the table. Sometimes its hard to see the wood through the trees as they say, especially when you've been manic and running around like a headless chicken at times, however i'm looking forward to some quiet time to relax and reflect on what has been an awesome creative year of lighting design for us. I'm very proud and honoured to work alongside Stuart Alexander and Maya Gribby who have been incredible, and without them we would not have achieved some of the special projects we have created in 2024. We are moving into new realms of design crossing the boundary of lighting design into a whole new world of exciting opportunities. Thank you to everyone who we have worked with and we hope 2025 brings another year of amazing an inspiring collaborations to you all. Here's a look back at some of our completed projects in 2024. Our redesign of the Manchester Piccadilly Gardens Pavilion has been featured by I Love Manchester and we couldn’t be prouder. The concept, “Weave,” celebrates Manchester’s industrial roots while reimagining Piccadilly Gardens as a more welcoming and connected space. The centrepiece of the redesign is a bespoke art installation created in collaboration with Manchester-based artist LAZERIAN and lighting designers Artin Light. This striking feature transforms the Pavilion’s outer wall into a dynamic and engaging element of the cityscape. A big thank you to I Love Manchester for sharing our work, to our clients Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and to everyone involved in the project. For the team, this has been a true labour of love, especially as many of us are proud Mancunians. Contributing to our city’s urban fabric is a real honour. #SpaceInvader #Manchester #PiccadillyGardens #UrbanDesign #CommunitySpaces #Commercialinteriordesign

  • Very excited to be shortlisted for this competition. Stuart Alexander bravo

We’re thrilled to announce the shortlist for ‘Transforming Falcon Road Bridge’ with Wandsworth Borough Council! 📣   Launched earlier this year, this innovative competition invited architects, designers, and artists to reimagine the tunnel beneath Falcon Road Bridge, transforming this critical passageway near Clapham Junction into a vibrant, welcoming space. The challenge was to enhance this heavily-used route, connecting Battersea to neighbouring town centres, while celebrating the area’s unique character and addressing the needs of the local community.    The seven shortlisted teams will now progress to develop their ideas, working closely with #WandsworthCouncil to engage local communities through a public exhibition, ensuring that the final design resonates with the needs and character of the area.   Meet the shortlist! 👇 https://lnkd.in/e-Gfmcut   #TransformFalconRoad
