HMRC will update CDS to release 4.6.1.1 on 7th November 2024. This release contains changes that could impact declarations. Any declarations pre-lodged before this date that arrive after 7th November should consider these changes to avoid potentially being rejected upon arrival. A recent survey by Santander 🏦 revealed that a third of UK businesses want the government to take action and reduce the regulations implemented after Brexit. These regulations have created challenges for businesses, including: Complex customs procedures 🛂 Lack of mutual recognition of qualifications and standards 🎓 Recruitment difficulties 💼 Solutions, including the Windsor Framework, are designed to address these issues. 🇫🇷 French Customs authorities will switch off their national transit management system (Delta-T) from Friday, 25 October, at 18:00 until Monday, 28 October, at 10:00 (Central European Time) to complete the changeover to NCTS Phase 5. 📣 All goods moving under Transit from the UK must stop upon arrival in France for French customs officers to manually complete the Office of Transit function. ✋ This downtime does not affect GB systems, and UK operators require no change in process. #CustomsUK #NCTS5 #CustomsProcedures
