Today is World Mental Health Day and this year's theme is mental health at work. As well as focusing on the mental health of our clients, we need to think about our own well-being. Sometimes the work we do can be stressful and we often deal with complex issues and distressing situations. If you sometimes feel low, worried or overwhelmed then talking with a friend, family member or colleague will help. You don't need to share details of the case, but talking through your feelings will make you feel less alone. Mental health matters for everyone, including psychotherapists. As an AFT community we want to support members and our new website will offer forums which we hope will be a safe space for our members to offer support and guidance to each other. #WorldMentalHealthDay #mentalhealthmatters #familytherapy #psychotherapy #systemicpsychotherapy
