On Saturday evening, our amazing students, learners and volunteers took part in the Christchurch Rotary Firework Night at The Grange School. Our 'Brew Crew' mobile coffee shop was on-site and our baristas sold an incredible 200 hot drinks. The team manning our stand talked to many people who were interested to learn about the other support and services we offer - it was a great night for spreading the word about the work we do. It was a big success for our Brew Crew, with their biggest event yet and they all did a fantastic job! A huge thanks to our baristas and colleagues who ensured everything ran smoothly on the day. ❤️👏 #BonfireNight #CareerDevelopment #Education #Inclusion #Neurodiversity Image descriptions: Students and colleagues standing by our Brew Crew coffee horsebox and manning the Autism Unlimited stand.

This #ADHDAwarenessMonth, we had the the opportunity to sit down with Cllr George Farquhar, Mayor of Bournemouth, who shared an open and honest insight into his personal experiences living with ADHD. The realisation helped him to reflect on some of his behaviours and traits from his childhood and how they manifest in his life today. He also offered some encouraging words for others who have ADHD and emphasised the importance of embracing your neurodiversity. Huge thanks for taking the time to talk to us about such an important topic. #ADHD #ADHDAwareness #Neurodiversity #Neurodivergent #Neuroinclusion #Bournemouth #BCP

October is ADHD Awareness Month and our colleague Mimi sat down with us to share her personal experience with ADHD and how it has impacted her throughout her life. As we near the end of ADHD Awareness Month, it is important to reflect on the need for understanding and support for those with ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions. If you are interested in learning more about supporting neurodivergent people then take a look at Autism Unlimited Training for more information on our bespoke training courses which are developed and taught by neurodivergent individuals. #ADHDAwarenessMonth #ADHD #Neurodiversity #Inclusion

Earlier this month, our learners from Futures represented Autism Unlimited at the AFC Bournemouth Cherries Together networking event. 🍒 Our learners had a great day out and had the opportunity to take part in conversations about accessibility and community engagement. They even stayed to watch the match where AFC Bournemouth won! 🏆 Image Description: A group of our learners stood smiling in the Bournemouth Football Club stadium. #Accessibility #inclusion #Community #AFCBournemouth #Cherries

Thank you AFC Bournemouth! Autism Unlimited was honoured to be invited to the AFC Bournemouth Cherries Community Fund cheque presentation last week. This generous £2,500 donation will go towards creating a new sensory room for our wonderful students at Portfield School. This sensory room will have a positive impact on our students by providing a comfortable environment and calm surroundings to foster their sensory development. Last night, we got together to celebrate the achievements of our Futures Learners at Marsham Court Hotel, reflecting on their journeys and key milestones over the past year. There was a real sense of joy and pride as Learners looked back on their accomplishment in the presence of families and loved ones. It was also an opportunity to thank all those who have been a part of their journey, including their employers. Futures, which started just 3 years ago, has gone from supporting 4 Learners to 35, and we are so proud of the amazing successes it continues to bring. ❤️ #Neurodiversity #Neurodiverse #AutismAcceptance #Education #Graduation #Inclusion Image descriptions: Images of Learners receiving their certificates and Futures team members on stage.
