After five years of dedication, hard work, and balancing a full-time role, I’m thrilled to share that I have achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Engineering and a Distinction in my Degree Apprenticeship! This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and I couldn’t be prouder of the growth I’ve experienced along the way. Thanks to Avara Foods for their incredible support throughout this journey. From providing hands-on experience to mentoring and guidance, Avara has been instrumental in shaping me into the engineer I am today. I’m grateful to have worked alongside such a talented and dedicated team, whose collaboration and encouragement made balancing full-time work and study achievable. I am incredibly grateful to Harper Adams University for creating an engaging and challenging program that perfectly combined academic theory with practical experience. The insights I gained throughout my studies will be invaluable as I move forward in my career. A big thank you to the exceptional lecturers and staff who offered continuous support and pushed me to achieve my best. Grateful to everyone who helped me reach this milestone. Excited to see what the future holds and the new challenges ahead!

A team of colleagues from our Telford site recently took part in the annual Dragon Boat Festival, which is a sponsored event in aid of Severn Hospice. In total the team raised over £1,500 for the charity! Severn Hospice has supported several of our colleagues over the years, so entering the event provided a great opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the charity, through activities organised by colleagues on site and entering a crew for the race. The Severn Hospice Boat Race has been running for 20 years, attracting teams from far and wide, with many returning annually to support this great cause. Along with 24 other teams, Avara’s crew participated to secure 5th place overall, which was an outstanding effort given by the entire team. We’re looking forward to entering our Avara crew again in next year’s Dragon Boat Race! #AvaraFoods #Telford #DragonBoatFestival #SevernHospice
