As part of our Enriching Life Plan target to volunteer 1000 days a year by 2030, we are delighted to have hit an exciting milestone of 1000 volunteering days donated since our programme began in 2022. Well done to everyone who has donated their time so far, volunteering with a wide variety of good causes. Here are some highlights from July: ◾ The Grocery Customer team had a fantastic day fundraising at Morrisons Palmers Green store to support the Southgate Mosque Food Bank in North London. The team handed out leaflets, raised awareness, and connected with community members in need, directing them to the food bank. ◾ Colleagues from our Worksop site volunteered at the Oasis Community Centre in Worksop, where they helped in the garden and decorated the restroom. ◾ Colleagues from our Technical Services team volunteered at FareShare UK in Barnsley and assisted in loading vans, picking orders and cleaning inside of the vans and the warehouse ahead of the next day shift. ◾ Some colleagues from our Lifton site volunteered at Altarnun Primary School and helped on a project to inspire children ages 9 – 11 years old to take an interest in engineering in a fun and innovative way. Thank you to all our colleagues who have helped make a difference within our local communities.
