Breast cancer touches the lives of far more than just those diagnosed. As we continue to spotlight the fantastic series from The Telegraph and The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Breast Cancer Campaign, sharing stories from people who have been affected by the disease, from survivors to widowers to fundraisers, we introduce Alex Newman’s story. For Alex, the disease profoundly changed his life when his wife, Nicky, was diagnosed at just 29 years old. But instead of letting her illness define her, Nicky used her voice to build a supportive community on social media, sharing her journey with raw honesty, courage, and vulnerability. Her followers were inspired by her openness and the light she brought to even the darkest moments. Though Nicky passed away at 35, five and a half years after her diagnosis, her legacy of strength, love, and resilience lives on. As we continue to reflect and share discussions throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc.’ Breast Cancer Campaign is shining a spotlight on a number of incredible women and their stories. Today, we celebrate Kreena Dhiman. Kreena was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 at age 33. After suffering heart failure and infertility, she went on to have a daughter and triplet sons through surrogacy. Kreena is now 45 and an advocate for the South Asian community’s perspective of breast cancer, as well as an ambassador for Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign. Last week, Mayfair’s avant-garde destination sketch revealed its annual Art & Design exhibition, Dreamscapes, in collaboration with London Design Festival and Mayfair Design District. This year’s installation showcases the brilliant work of jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Paul Cocksedge, and emerging talent Ida Immendorff. Visitors can explore three stunning spaces, each transformed by unique pieces that celebrate surrealist design and the rich history of No. 9 Conduit Street. Since 2005, Bacchus Studio has partnered with the Victoria and Albert Museum to bring their Fashion in Motion series to life. This unique program transforms the museum into a live runway, offering a rare opportunity for the public to experience fashion against the iconic backdrop of the museum itself. In August, Bacchus supported the production of its latest show, featuring the Nigerian brand ORANGE CULTURE NIGERIA by Adebayo Oke-Lawal. Known for its bold designs, the brand challenges gender norms as well as celebrates African identity. The collection itself explored the emotional journey of finding ‘home’ and the show was a powerful showcase of creativity, ethics, and cultural expression.
