This iconic landmark is now one of the most exciting & innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world. NOW OPEN!

About us

The iconic Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station and surrounding area is being brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world. The Power Station is NOW OPEN to the public for the very first time. It is at the heart of one of central London’s largest and most visionary new regenerations, which sees this vast 42-acre former industrial brownfield site transformed into a community of homes, offices, retail, dining, community facilities, cultural venues and 19-acres of public space, serviced by a Zone 1 extension to the Northern Line underground service. The overall project is divided into seven phases with each phase to be designed by a range of architects, including Frank Gehry and Norman Foster, and is anticipated to be completed in 2025. Battersea Power Station is at the cornerstone of Nine Elms, the single largest regeneration site in central London and the capital’s up-and-coming diplomatic quarter with the US and Dutch embassies relocating to the area. Situated on London’s famous cultural South Bank and within a few minutes’ walking distance of Chelsea and Westminster, the development has created a sustainable and vibrant community in its own right, generating employment opportunities and investment in the surrounding area. London’s Road to Megacity Status London is on the verge of a historic transformation. With its population accelerating towards megacity status, this milestone signals enormous potential, cementing London’s status as a global economic powerhouse and a magnet for talent, investment, and innovation. To sustain this growth, the city must expand at an unprecedented pace. Achieving this will require bold urban planning, strategic investment, and policy reform to ensure London grows in a way that makes the city more liveable, connected, and competitive. However, with this growth comes challenges that must be addressed: - Housing Supply - Energy and Grid Expansion - Infrastructure The transition to megacity status presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to rethink housing, expand infrastructure, and future-proof the city’s economy. Investors, developers, and policymakers who anticipate these shifts and act decisively will shape London’s next phase of growth. • Battersea Power Station is proud to have worked with Unite the Union over the past 12 years to ensure there was not a single serious accident during construction which involved thousands of workers being on-site daily, who transformed this former brownfield site into a vibrant mixed-used destination for the present day. Unite general secretary Sharon Graham, commented on ‘the amazing safety record at Battersea Power Station’ and how the project set ‘exemplary standards’ for the industry. We are approximately halfway through the development of the wider 42-acre estate and look forward to continuing to work with Unite Construction to complete the remaining phases of the project. JAMES WIXLEY, Head of Development at Battersea Power Station Development Company said:   "Safety has been paramount throughout the regeneration of Battersea Power Station right from when construction began on the first phase in 2013. Over the past twelve years, we have worked closely with Unite Construction to prioritise the health, safety, and wellbeing of workers on the live construction sites across the development and look forward to continuing to work with them on future phases of Battersea Power Station. This close collaboration has been key in ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety.” To read more, visit here https://lnkd.in/exQsU4S7
