‘Do it differently’ – if 2024 has taught us anything, it’s that.   It’s been a year of learning, adapting, and yes, sometimes scrambling… but listening every step of the way. And this week, a couple of things came to mind when we spotted our name on the shortlist for three EVIEs awards…    1 Awards are a great validation, but the proof is in the customer pudding. At the end of the day it's all about the driver experience and if we do it right, they will reward us with their loyalty.   2 Hard work pays off. Ready… set… GO! ✅🏁   We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Advance Northumberland to bring EV charging to three great destinations across the North East. As part of the deal, we’re bringing 20 EV charging bays to retail locations across Northumberland, with a mixture of charging speeds to fit drivers’ needs ⚡️   First up is Tyne Valley Retail Park (📍NE46 1EJ) just off the A69 in Hexham, where we’re powering-up two bays of ultra-rapid (150kW), one bay of rapid (50kW) and one bay of fast (22kW) charging to shoppers and passers-by.   Drivers will be able to plug-in to whatever speed fits their visit – whether shopping around the town centre or popping into Homebase, Pets At Home or Pound Stretcher at the retail centre.   Stay tuned for updates on two more of their locations getting the Be.EV treatment soon!   A huge thank you to the team making this happen – David Thwaites, Evolt , Mark Constantine, S&R Construction Ltd, Formula Space 💚   #EVCharging #Retail #EVInfrastructure #ComingSoon

Plug, tap and zap 🔌🟩✨ Listen, we know most drivers don’t want another RFID card to add to their collection, but let’s not forget the key things that make EV charging great – simplicity and choice. So – we’ve made a small update to the design of our RFID card to show just how simple it is to tap and charge; shipping to new Members who want one soon. Do drivers need one to charge up? Absolutely not! We support all the ways that drivers like to pay, whether that’s app, Contactless, or with partners like Octopus Electroverse, Allstar Business Solutions, Paua, Zapmap's Zap-Pay, OVO Charge or Plugsurfing. But, we know from listening to many of our customers, especially those who are a little less techie or like to charge a certain way through habit, that a good old fashioned RFID card is an easy way to charge. Plus, the world of EV can be scary when you’re totally new, so a straight-forward *tap* is an easy way for new drivers to get going. So, however drivers like to charge, we’re keeping it easy, keeping it simple, and adding a sprinkle of Be.EV charm at every opportunity 💚 #CustomerExperience #EVCharging

Signed, sealed, and now… under construction! 🛠️⚡ Hot on the heels of last month’s partnership announcement with Wesleyan, we’ve wasted no time breaking ground on our first Charging Hub together! In the near future, we’ll be powering up 16 ultra-rapid charging bays at Gallagher Retail Park in Wednesbury – soon to be the largest charging facility on any retail park in this part of the West Midlands conurbation. Conveniently located just off J9 of the M6 – one of the UK’s busiest motorway junctions – this 50,000 sq ft retail park, alongside Gallagher Shopping Park, will not only serve Decathlon and B&M but provide EV charging for thousands of drivers and several major retailers alike. Our project manager, Mark Constantine, set the challenge – we want our Be.EV contractors to build more sustainably… And, Morrison Energy Services have answered the call – cue the sustainable welfare cabins 🚧⚡ These eco-friendly cabins, since being on site, have used just 1 litre of diesel, thanks to solar panels that power heat, lighting, and everything in between. They even harvest rainwater for the toilets! Sustainability isn't just about what we build, but how we build it and while we’re powering the EV revolution (one of the biggest levers), we know the drive to Net-Zero is a full-package deal – which is why our supply chain has a big role to play. Sure, there are countless sustainability factors at play during construction projects, but every improvement, no matter the size, is a step in the right direction and deserves recognition.
