It was a pleasure to host Lauren Dutton from Bea Landscape Design Ltd. at our Tobermore Factory in Northern Ireland last week. Experiencing firsthand what goes into the manufacturing process, from raw material sourcing to the production of our top-quality products, and discussing how we consistently strive for excellence in sustainability. etc Design ltd has recently submitted a Full Planning Application for a replacement Community Hub facility in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. Our client, Hamilton's Gym, purchased the former Express & Star Sports Club and grounds which consists of an outdated and small gym facility, bowls club, holistic centre and external grass football pitches. THE PROPOSAL The proposal includes a new purpose-built Community Hub building with a first-floor gym, physio and office facilities. Also, a ground-floor reception, studio, changing facilities and a café for hub users and the wider community. In addition, a new 3G, full-size football pitch is proposed to replace the existing grass pitches which suffer from drainage and level issues which have left them largely unused. CURRENT STATUS As the site is within the green belt, numerous discussions have taken place with the Wolverhampton City Council Planning Department. We are currently awaiting their decision and look forward to updating you on this project.
