Beacon Cymru Group is a not-for-profit organisation (registered social landlord) operating in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Carmarthenshire and Bridgend employing around 380 people. Beacon was formed in 2025 after a merger between Coastal Housing Group and RHA Wales. We build and manage homes and commercial premises, as well as offering homes for sale through our Pennant Homes subsidiary. We have particular expertise in regeneration and sustainable building methods. To meet the challenges of sustainable growth, Beacon's robust commercial portfolio mirrors and supports the organisation’s ethos and values, leading the way with city/town centre mixed-use regeneration. Spent the morning at our development of 18 homes in Tylorstown with Lisa Lloyd MCIOB, Neil Morgan,Guy Marks and the guys from LCB Group. Nice to see the beam and blocks installed while the foundation works are ongoing. Looking forward to see the timber frame being erected in the next few months. Coastal Housing and RHA Wales have now merged to form Beacon Cymru Group. Changes to Coastal Housing branded clothing and vans will happen at different times in different areas, so the person who calls to carry out your repair or maintenance work may have a mix of Coastal and Beacon branding across their clothing and van. You can see some of our legacy Coastal and new Beacon branding in the attached photos. Some reflections in this latest blog on the last 12 months or so preparing for a merger. It's been a real stretch but has been a brilliant challenge. And the real (integration) work has only really just started!
