Yesterday, we had the pleasure of showing Jayne Bryant, Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government, around our newly acquired homes in Rhondda Cynon Taff to see firsthand how innovative funding is helping us provide affordable housing. The fifteen 2 and 3 bed homes form part of a Persimmon Homes development which will see the creation of over 1,000 houses, a primary school and shops upon completion. The Welsh Government's £90m low-interest loan scheme will support Registered Social Landlords like ourselves to deliver more affordable homes across Wales. The Cabinet Secretary said “The homes here in Michaels Grove exemplify the real power of this type of funding to deliver beautiful homes that are affordable to run and that enrich our communities.” Our CEO, Jo Oak, expressed her gratitude for the Cabinet Secretary’s support in “helping us to create safe and happy homes and communities where our customers feel they belong.” Thank you to everyone who showed up, and to the Welsh Government’s press team for the photography 📷

Celebrating St David’s Day—one Welsh word at a time! 🏴 To mark the occasion, we encouraged colleagues—both in the office and out on site—to try out some Welsh words and phrases that could come in handy in their day-to-day work. Supporting our colleagues to use Welsh at work, and developing their Welsh language skills, is part of our 'Addo' commitment, our promise to do everything we can to support the Welsh language for our colleagues and customers. What are your favourite Welsh words or phrases? Drop them in the comments! 👇 --- Dathlu Dydd Gwyl Dewi—un gair Cymraeg ar y tro! 🏴 I nodi’r achlysur, fe wnaethon ni annog cydweithwyr—yn y swyddfa ac allan ar y safle—i roi cynnig ar rai geiriau ac ymadroddion Cymraeg a allai fod yn ddefnyddiol yn eu gwaith o ddydd i ddydd. Mae cefnogi ein cydweithwyr i ddefnyddio’r Gymraeg yn y gwaith, a datblygu eu sgiliau yn yr iaith Gymraeg, yn rhan o’n hymrwymiad ‘Addo’, ein haddewid i wneud popeth o fewn ein gallu i gefnogi’r iaith Gymraeg i’n cydweithwyr a’n cwsmeriaid.
