MMC First Process AS and Benchmark have joined forces and designed the first treatment water purification system to be built onboard a wellboat, a future solution for the farming industry. This new solution will increase the accessibility for the aquaculture industry, allowing them to use efficacious and high-welfare sea lice medicines more extensively in an environmentally responsible and cost-efficient way. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐞𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐛𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐌𝐑 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 Benchmark products obtained the lowest score among bath treatments in IMR’s annual risk report, both nationally and per production area. No other substances obtained this score in the category. The report for Norwegian aquaculture was launched by Institute of Marine Research (IMR), Norway in February.
