So Rachel Reeves announced the budget yesterday, are you wondering how that will affect you as a trainee?   Firstly the minimum wage will be increasing by 18% to £7.55, although here at BKL our apprentices are paid significantly more than this 😎 The government are also planning to invest an additional £300 million into further education to support the development of skills to help young people succeed. Had a great evening at the Vyman Solicitors event with my fellow BKL ladies 💎 we made so many new contacts! It was so inspirational hearing from the speakers tonight about breaking the glass ceiling, and how future female leaders can reach new heights in their careers. There was so much emphasis around finding your own voice and standing up to fear which is so important for any woman both on a professional and personal level. Shivani Patel also showed off her cocktail making skills by creating her own cocktail “Strength” - and won the make your own cocktail competition! 🍸 Thanks for having us!

A fantastic start to the DFK International/USA North American Annual Conference, hosted in Mexico. Yesterday, Jessica McLellan, from Wilson Wright part of BKL, presented to the International DFK Tax Partners in attendance, sharing her insights ahead of the UK 2024 budget.
