Celebrating the success of Business Women from across the UK
About us
Our awards are all about recognising great women in the business community! The business world is full of talented and dedicated female entrepreneurs who not only run successful businesses but in many cases also juggle the needs of their families. Our entrepreneurial and business awards are designed to recognise the achievement of these women across a wide range of business categories. The Awards were created by Debbie Gilbert, a multi award winning entrepreneur who has been running small businesses since 1999. She knows first-hand the huge impact of winning business awards and believes that women who have started and are running small businesses should be truly recognised for their achievements. The Best Business Women Awards are specifically for female business owners who are making a real impact for their clients.

If you win an award always remember to take it with you when you speak at events. I love the way Becky Wall BEM has woven her BEM and her Best Businesswomen Awards win into a talk she did last week.
Yesterday morning, I had the privilege of speaking at the Signature Networking Breakfast hosted by Herefordshire Means Business at The Green Dragon Hotel. I want to thank and express my gratitude to all who joined me and listened to my journey, highlighting how my early life experiences have fuelled my determination to succeed in growing both A Plush Flush and, since 2021, Loo of The Year Awards Ltd with my husband Charles. It was heart warming to share a laugh about how my colleague Jane and I were named 'The Loo Ladies' by some of our fellow network members here at Herefordshire Means Business. I also talked about the honour of receiving a British Empire Medal and recent accolades at The Best Businesswomen Awards. For me however, the true joy lies in making a difference and advocating for higher standards in away from home toilets for all. Thank you for all your lovely comments since. #Herefordshiremeansbusiness #APlushFlush #Loooftheyear #TheLooLady
