🌱 Today, as part of the Elevate Leadership Development Program, we were thrilled to host a Q&A session with Trina Jones, the NSW Rental Commissioner. Trina shared invaluable insights and brought energy and wisdom to the conversation. Her analogies left a lasting impact. "Tending to your garden" was a powerful reminder of the continuous care and attention required to create healthy, thriving teams and workplaces. And the phrase, "Put the aces in their places," was an inspiring prompt to strategically leverage the strengths within our teams to drive performance and cohesion. A big thank you to Trina for sharing her experience and wisdom with us—an enriching session for all Elevate participants. The Housing Ombudsman’s Annual Complaints Review 2023-24 highlights significant rises in maladministration across England’s social housing, with a 73% rate of findings against landlords, mainly in areas such as property condition and ironically, complaint handling. ⬆ Severe cases, up 4% from last year, point to issues like delayed repairs and inadequate communication. 📈 With over 21,700 remedies issued, the report stresses the importance of proactive complaint management and improved service quality to restore resident trust and avoid further disruption. It may be Autumn in the UK but it’s Spring down under in Aus! We’ve been busy bees in both the northern and southern hemispheres this month! Here’s a round up to give you a taste of what and where we’ve been buzzing about: 🐝 🌏 AUS ✔ Completed a comprehensive service review with Beyond Housing ✔ Kickstarted the Elevate Leadership Development program at Community Housing Ltd. This program includes 4x workshops, 3x coaching sessions, 2x masterclasses and eLearning. ✔ Finalised the eLearning package for our eLearning delegates. ✔ Kickstarted a round of the ASB Training Program sessions with BaptistCare. ✔ Finalised our 2025 training calendar with the Australasian Housing Institute – stay tuned for our upcoming course list. ✔ Continued the roll out of Case Notes and Record Keeping at Evolve Housing. ✔ Commenced a new Nudge Theory project with Mission Australia. ✔ And to finish off the month, our CEO Jo Leckie is in NSW kickstarting a Nudge Theory project with Pacific Link Housing. 🌎 UK ✔ Ran 3 consultation events with Futures Housing Group. ✔Delivered 2 sessions of our Customer Service – Making a Difference training to EQUANS in Leeds and Greenhill Housing Association in Harrow. ✔ Ran a workshop session at the Disruptive Innovators Network customer conference. ✔ And finally, finished up a suite of customer service training Pinnacle Group Limited with our Building Resilience workshop A huge thanks to all the customers and partners we’ve worked with this month for hosting us in their offices, in person or online!
