We are pleased to turn the spotlight on our product which has recently been named as a finalist in the prestigious Frontier Awards this year – Bitmore TRU-SENSE TWS earbuds. A very big seller for us this year both in airport and inflight retail, they have an innovative, ergonomic and aesthetic design, with key features including Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Environmental Noise Control (ENC). The earbuds are controlled by a special app that is downloadable on the App Store and Google Play. It allows the user to customise the control functions and adjust the sound to how you want to listen. The product of course comes with the usual Bitmore sustainability credentials – it is made with recycled ABS plastic and is Carbon Neutral. Contact our CEO Hoj Parmar for more information on stocking the product in travel retail. #travelretail #airports #tech

We are delighted to have been able to put something very significant back from our brand into the community, with a donation of just over £27,000 worth of Bitmore tech and gadgets to In Kind Direct’s fantastic ‘Supporting families to have a summer of play’ initiative. In Kind Direct works in partnership with Save the Children and a range of other collaborators to ensure children and their families in the UK are supported throughout the summer holidays with activities, equipment and free ideas to play, learn and live well. We are among the organisations that have supplied product donations during July of arts and crafts, toys, tech, books, sports equipment, clothes and stationery. As part of the Summer of play initiative, these are then pooled for a network of charitable organisations with links to children to access. Founded in 1996 by HM King Charles lll, In Kind Direct finds a home for all products donated by participating companies. In doing so, it prevents waste, and ensures these products end up where they are needed. This is a great organisation to support for Bitmore, not only in that we can help those most in need, but also of course, in terms of its role in preventing that waste. That’s very important to us as a sustainability-focused brand and B Corporation. #charity #sustainability #tech Kaitlin Marian

We are delighted to announce that Bitmore has nominated the Hertfordshire Community Foundation (HCF) to become a beneficiary from the 1% for the Planet scheme. Many of you will be familiar with the great work of 1% for the Planet, the international organisation whose members contribute at least 1% of their annual revenue to good causes, especially environmental-related ones. Our initiative means that the 1% of Bitmore annual turnover which is channelled through the 1% for the Planet will now enable us to directly contribute to important local causes. That’s very important to us as a business based in Watford, the largest town in Hertfordshire. HCF is an independent charity that encourages local giving to make Hertfordshire a better place to live, for everyone. It provides grants to families in crisis, grassroots charities and voluntary groups, helping some of our county’s most vulnerable residents. Over the past three decades HCF has funded thousands of local initiatives addressing complex social issues including domestic abuse, learning disabilities, bereavement, homelessness, mental health and many more. As part of our initiative, we have set up the Bitmore Foundation, which is managed by HCF, to make sure our grants go to the people who most need it in the Hertfordshire community. #travelretail #sustainability #consumertech

NEW FROM BITMORE: Here's a new product from our brand which we introduced to an encouraging reception at TFWA Cannes – Bitmore TruSense TWS Earbuds (with ANC + 4 Mic ENC). They will launch for the Spring/Summer travel retail season next year. We are pleased to share a few technical details of the product, which underline its quality as modern piece of consumer tech. ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) is a technique used in earphones and other audio devices to reduce background noise. The technique uses two microphones and a digital signal processor to detect ambient noise and generate a sound wave with the same amplitude but opposite phase to the detected noise. ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) means cancelling or suppressing all ambient background noise while protecting the subject's voice. ENC works by using microphones to pick up external sounds, and then advanced algorithms are used to filter out the unwanted noise. It is primarily beneficial for phone calls, ensuring clarity through ENC, which effectively suppresses 90% of reverse ambient noise. Transparency Mode: An inward-facing microphone listens inside your ear for unwanted internal sounds, which your Bitmore TruSense buds offset with anti-noise. Transparency mode lets outside sound in, so you can hear what’s going on around. We are developing an app to accompany the product, which will be downloadable on Google Play and The App Store to configure your earbuds to the way you want to use or hear your music and touch control your earbuds. In line with our status as a B Corporation, the earbuds are made from recycled plastic, they are carbon neutral and RCS certified. Thanks for reading and feel free to get in touch with our CEO Hoj Parmar for more information about the product, or potentially stocking it in travel retail. #travelretail #consumertech #technology Adam Starkey Rajiv Malhotra

Today is international #EWasteDay, so we'd like to take this opportunity to raise awareness of it as part of our responsibilities as a recently-certified B Corporation and consumer electronics product producer. In the digital world we live in, our demand for tech and electricals continues to grow as they become integral to our day-to-day lives. With this comes the rise in ‘FastTech’ – these are the everyday small electricals, from headphones to cables, decorative lights to mini fans and even single-use vapes. It’s Fast Fashion for the world of technology and, like the clothing industry, it has huge environmental and social impacts. These items are lower cost and often have a shorter lifespan. Because of this they may be seen as ‘disposable’ even when they’re not designed to be. As featured on the BBC News and The Guardian recently, it was revealed that almost half a billion (471 million) FastTech items ended up binned and in landfill last year. Crazy when you think about it. The fact is, if these types of products are recycled responsibly, up to 97% of the components can be re-used again. In the UK you can find 16,000+ donation or recycles centres via this website https://lnkd.in/e6DvdDd8 Remember, anything with a plug, battery or cable can be reused or recycled!
