🌍💚 Today is World Mental Health Day, a timely reminder of the importance of self-care and mental wellbeing, especially in high-pressure industries just like information and cybersecurity.   While it feels like there is growing awareness of CISO burnout, the industry may overlook the fact that burnout can affect anyone, regardless of role. Whether you're a Security Analyst, Incident Responder, SOC Engineer, Auditor, or GRC Professional, the challenges of constant vigilance, growing workloads, and evolving threats can take a toll on all of us.   Our mental health is crucial, and it’s okay to admit when you're feeling overwhelmed. Not all meetings require a meeting room. With this in mind, during August a few members of the Blackfoot team took to Pen y Fan, Wales. A combined meeting, team-building and fitness experience in the breathtaking landscapes of the Brecon Beacons. A hike to the summit of Pen Y Fan, standing at 886 meters was achieved. The spectacular views, and the experience of conquering the tallest mountain in the South of the United Kingdom as a team was unforgettable. Connecting with colleagues in person is invaluable.
