When it comes to colour, I’m often guilty of praising some amazing, multicoloured schemes but then playing it a bit safe when it comes to my own. Lisa Don and Jemima Oliver helping me to be a bit braver, but I’m really looking forward to getting some insight into colour from Crown Paints in their The Role of Colour in Design CPD. Taking place on Wednesday 9th October, 12:30pm at Cornerstone Cardiff as part of Clerkenwales, it's an engaging CPD that explores the role of colour in Interior Design and Architecture while covering 2 of the RIBA core curriculum subjects, inclusive environments and design, construction and technology. NEURODIVERSITY. It’s a term I’m very used to hearing now. I’ve Googled it a fair few times. Read some articles. Nodded along knowingly when people have brought it up. But, truth be told, I don’t have a full appreciation of what the term means and the considerations that should be part and parcel of my design process, regardless of a projects size, scale and sector. The below is an extract from the Human Conscious Design Principles CPD from Tarkett. The CPD offers support on designing spaces for neurodivergence and aims to leave people with a better understanding on what the term neurodiversity means, the neurodiversity movement and how neuro divergences can impact our daily lives.
