Today, I am excited to announce the launch of our "NextGen Dev" programme in partnership with Harrow Council's Youth Justice Service! We at Blue Magpie Foundation are thrilled to be empowering the young people of Harrow through this innovative initiative. "NextGen Dev" stands for the next generation of developers, unleashing excellence. Over the next 5 weeks, participants will learn to create a mobile game app and gain foundational knowledge in ethical hacking. This programme represents a fantastic opportunity for these young individuals to develop valuable skills and open new doors for their futures. We are working closely with Ryan Simon from Harrow Council. Patrick Chou will be conducting the lessons, with Ancuta A. assisting. We are immensely proud of this partnership and look forward to expanding these programmes throughout the borough. 🌟 Embracing this year's theme, "The Power of Collective Action: If Everyone Did," we celebrate International Volunteers Day by reflecting on the incredible journey our team has made in just three months. Join us in celebrating these key achievements: 💛 We welcomed 35 new members to the Blue Magpie Foundation team 🤝 Forged impactful partnerships with Compass Elevation, Harrow Young Foundation, MyYard, and Roxeth Christ Church Charity—organisations that share our commitment to creating a positive impact. 💰 Successfully completed our 10K-a-day #walkwithbmf challenge, collectively covering more than 1500 miles and raising over £2,800 with the incredible support of over 100 people. 🏫 Opened our first education hub in Harrow, providing a safe haven for children to learn, grow, and thrive. 🚀 Launched our pioneering educational initiative with My Yard, featuring inspiring weekly workshops and 'Ask a Professional' sessions, fostering knowledge and growth in our community. ♻️ Committed to our eco-mission, we sustainably sourced used office furniture through partnerships with Crown Workspace and Reyooz, aligning with our dedication to environmental responsibility.
