About us

BOL Foods is a globally-inspired and 100% plant-based food brand. Proud to be a B Corp® BOL is all about making it easy for busy people to eat less meat and more plants. Set up in 2014 by ex-Innocent Food Commercial Director Paul Brown with the help of expert nutritionists, top chefs and a passionate group of friends who share his passion, BOL set out on a mission to make it easy for you busy folk to eat more plants, especially when you don’t have the time to cook from scratch. The plant-based meals we’ve created are both delicious and nutritious, completely natural and always tasty. So whether you’re a meat eater or a vegan I hope you like what we’ve created for you. The BOL Foods portfolio was launched in 2015 with a range of nutritious lunch pots, a delicious hot meal packed with nourishing ingredients & bursting with goodness. In May 2016, inspired by Paul’s travels around California, BOL introduced four vibrant and innovative salad jars to shake-up the on-the-go market. A mix of healthy grains, fats, fresh greens with a dressing and fork included, all you need to do is dress, shake & enjoy. Headquartered in London, BOL are a young and lively team of focused foodies, who’ve worked with some of the best names in the business to develop their range including Ian Marber [The Food Doctor], Tastemaker Alex Emerson-White and renowned cookbook author Meera Sodha. With all of their first year profits donated to charity, BOL is committed to creating an environmentally responsible brand and are now working on some fantastic charitable initiatives, including a partnership with Action Against Hunger. Paul Brown our founder says 'I can’t promise BOL will make you jump higher or win any medals. But I can promise it will always be interesting, healthy and deliciously good for you.’

March is #BCorp month, and a great chance to come together and shout about this amazing collective, using business as a force for good.   • Watch this video to see what it looks like when one THOUSAND unstoppable women come together 💪 Team BOL were lucky enough to spend International Women’s Day at the Womens Run Series’ launch event. And what an event it was. We were there sampling hundreds of our Power Shakes, as well as joining in for our own 5km and 10km spin, and we truly could not have had a better time. Over two thirds of our team are women: a collective of amazing people, professionals, and athletes in their own right, who show us what it means to Bring On Life every day. ❤️ Thank you to the amazing team at RunThrough and Women’s Run Series for orchestrating such an empowering event. It was an honour to be a part of it. 

  • What do Starbucks, Pokemon and Paramount Pictures have in common? They all absolutely love a Power Shake. Last week, Team BOL spent the day at Chiswick Park giving some of the nation’s favourite household names a taste of our best-selling range: from Pepsi Co to Pokemon. We got through one thousand of our Vanilla and Chocolate recipes in a single lunchtime, powering the days of busy people. A big thank you to the Chiswick Park team, and a special shout out to Annabel Bush and Jason James for all their help. We had a blast (even in the rain).

  • So it turns out you can squeeze a LOT into 28 days. February was a fun one - here’s just a few of our favourite moments: 🎁 We wrapped up our latest gifting campaign, sending out our Power Shakes to Friends of BOL and giving them a first taste of our new recipes. A lot of love on these boxes (and the bottles inside them). 🔥 Our content team have been cooking a storm in the Veg Pad, kicking off a host of new foodie series on our socials. That's a not-so-subtle plug to give us a follow @bolfoods for all our latest foodie creations. 🎤 Marketing extraordinaire turned keynote speaker, Marketing Lead Toni took part in a panel for WeWork’s upcoming ‘Made at WeWork’ campaign, where BOL are featured as one of the members making waves in their workspaces. More on this in March… 🏉 Celebrating the end of another season for our Sale Sharks Rugby Club women. Forever proud to sponsor a team of inspiring female athletes, on and off the pitch. 🏋 A spot of sampling at David Lloyd Clubs giving gym go-ers a powerful post workout. 🌎 And a bittersweet day, waving our Daniella Corrodus-Patterson off as she embarks on her incredible South America adventures. Dani has been our Quality Manager for five amazing years, and has taste tested her way through thousands of BOL recipes. But now it’s time to switch Power Soups for endless empanadas, arepas and more. We can’t wait to welcome you back, Dani.

  • “It’s actually legit”.   Our new Power Shakes receiving a Tonic Health stamp of approval in Marks and Spencer.   A tough critic when it comes to food and drink, we were buzzing to see this on our social feeds on Monday: high in protein, naturally low in sugar, and formulated with natural ingredients you can trust.   We’ve got nothing to hide when it comes to our recipes (or what goes into them), so it’s great when we see them being recognised as the best in the category by leading voices in the nutrition space.   If you haven’t given them a go yet, take Sunna van Kampen’s word for it and head to your local M&S, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, Co-op or Ocado and let us know what you think.

    This is hands down one of the best send outs I’ve ever received 🤩 BOL Foods recently launched their new & improved power shakes I was asked if I’d like to try them… I’ll be honest I’ve tried every version The original ones launched in gorgeous glass bottles But they missed the mark on texture & flavour to me BOL knew this themselves And they didn’t rest until they got it right Each iteration is tasting better & better Made with whole foods This is like a healthy protein shake (With 20g protein per bottle) Under 300kcals A perfect little on the go snack/ breakfast / post workout refuel. I love how detailed this box was The story and mission are so clear Every layer unwraps a new part of the story It’s blooming gorgeous 📦 Unboxing taken to another level 👏🏻 They smashed it And I love the new shakes!
