Thank you to the team from ScottishPower for coming along to a Brathay residential as part of your Graduate Programme! Lanna, one of the graduates said: “I had a great experience, getting to take part in some outdoor and problem-solving activities with my excellent teammates and coach! Inspire, Support, Share, and Achieve ♥ It’s been wonderful welcoming Youth Focus North West (YFNW) to Brathay for #YouthWorkWeek! Our values reach beyond our own organisation. We aim to inspire, support, share, and achieve with partners and peers equally committed to enhancing young people’s lives. A big thank you to all our #YouthWork colleagues who work passionately with young people and families to create a brighter future! #YWW24
What are your values and how do they show up in your organisation? We are supporting #YouthWorkWeek, and the importance of a right to youth work for all. This week we have spent time as a team, pausing and reflecting on #YouthWork and the wider work we do. We have been in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District, thanks to Brathay Trust for hosting us. We explored our personal and organisational values and the values that underpin #YouthWork, and how to ensure that our youth work offer is accessible to all. #YWW24 #YouthWork #YouthVoice National Youth Agency

Do you feel inspired to raise much-needed funds for a charity which helps to brighten the futures of young people? Then we would love to help you fundraise for Brathay! Recently, Witherslack Group completed the Three Peaks Challenge and raised over £1,000! But if you’re not into hiking, there are so many other ways to fundraise. Check out our website for some ideas or get in touch and we would be happy to help you think of something!: https://lnkd.in/eWBZGg3j

Our Leadership Team wrapped up an inspiring two days with the amazing Lynn Leahy (Lynn Leahy Talks)! This team only came together in the last year, and they have been jumping straight into what it means to make a real difference for our charity and the 40,000 young people we're aiming to support by 2029. Lynn's workshop took us through Emotional Intelligence, understanding stress triggers and effective coaching. For us, there's a true benefit to work with others in the #LearningAndDevelopment field who can challenge us to look at things from new angles and keep growing. A huge thank you to Lynn - we're already looking forward to the next session! Here's how our team felt after 2 days of reflection, growth and connection. 🌟 "I feel very reflective" 🌟 "Proud of my colleagues for showing up and being vulnerable" 🌟 "I’ve learned so much about leadership – and can’t wait to put it into practice" 🌟 "I see some things I can improve on" 🌟 "I've made meaningful connections with my colleagues" #Leadership #LeadershipCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #EmotionalIntelligence

We are partnering with Fatima Whitbread on her mission to ensure that young people in care and care leavers have a brighter and more promising future. We are combining our 75+ years of experience in transforming young lives with her own experience of living in care and deep understanding of today’s young people in care. Together will aim to affect change and build brighter futures. You can help us do this by making a donation to the Brathay Trust here: https://lnkd.in/ebrWu_xb

Fantastic couple of days earlier in October, learning from Cath Hempsall and working with ScottishPower on their residential. Highlighting the need to clarify the task, manage their time, and communicate efficiently, the team collaborated on many projects during their stay with us at Brathay Trust, including navigating their way up Stickleghyll, Langdale, in the glorious sunshine!
