  • Wow, what a week celebrating International Women's Day 👏 This week, across the Bristan Group Ltd and Masco Corporation, we came together to celebrate International Women's Day with a series of inspiring and thought-provoking events. At the Bristan Group, we hosted several live panel discussions, under the theme "Breaking Barriers", where we heard powerful stories from individuals who have navigated obstacles in their careers. We engaged in conversations about micro aggression, allyship, impostor syndrome, and talked about the people who inspire us. We also spoke with male allies, exploring why and how they support women in the workplace. The interactive Q&A sessions sparked some fantastic discussions and reflections. James Woodhouse, who was a panel member, commented "I enjoyed being part of the conversation. I am lucky to have some strong women in my family and I am happy to advocate for gender equality in and out of the workplace. I think it's important that people are recognised regardless of gender." In addition, we held a series of calls celebrating the women who inspire us, sharing stories of strong women and words of appreciation. We also celebrated the one year anniversary of two women's groups, our warehouse network group and a finance, procurement and continuous improvement group that were set up as a result of International Women's Day activity in 2024. The week concluded with a Masco Corporation-led panel discussion featuring an incredible lineup of women leaders from Masco including Lindsey Barber, President, Masco Canada, Jill Ehnes, President, Delta Faucet Company, Megan Selby, President, Behr Paint Company and our own Jen Cassidy, CEO, Bristan Group Ltd. The insights, experiences, and knowledge shared during this session were truly inspiring. A huge thank-you to everyone who participated, contributed and organised these important conversations. Let's continue to break barriers and champion gender equality on International Women's Day and beyond! #IWD2025 #BreakingBarriers #WomenInLeadership #Allyship

  • We are looking forward to being part of the Construction Inclusion Coalition discussion when our CEO Jen Cassidy and CCO Adam May join the panel to discuss Inclusion For All: Accelerating Action, Engaging Everyone as part of International Women’s Day. 👏 #BuiltOnBetter #Inclusion #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day (8th March) is 'Accelerate Action.' We believe that the key to driving real progress in inclusion is engaging everyone in the conversation and emphasising that inclusion benefits all, not just underrepresented groups. On Wednesday 12th March at 2 PM, we are hosting our one-hour Inclusion for All: Accelerating Action, Engaging Everyone Virtual Panel Discussion which is open to anyone from our member organisations. We particularly welcome male colleagues. Join #YesSheCan’s Sophie Turner and senior leaders from Strategic Partner organisations for a one-hour virtual panel discussion exploring how we accelerate action on inclusion by engaging everyone in the conversation and making inclusion relevant to everyone. The panel will share their thoughts on why inclusion benefits everyone and how we can be better allies to colleagues from underrepresented groups. • Our CEO, Jen Cassidy, was talking this week at KBIS about how water scarcity is a ‘now’ issue for the UK. Recent estimates suggest that water scarcity could cost the UK economy £25 billion over the next five years due to undelivered housing developments – a critical obstacle to meeting the government’s housing targets. The social implications are significant given the ongoing housing shortage in the UK. We are working with the Bathroom Manufacturers Association, having signed the Windsor Declaration, which recognises our collective responsibility to find solutions though product innovation whilst also raising public awareness and will look to provide practical guidance on how to minimise water use whilst developing products that save water without impacting on consumer experience. #KBIS #waterscarcity #WindsorDeclaration #BristanGroup

Panelists: Laura Kohler / Jen Cassidy / Bill Darcy, Jr. / Troy Benavidez / Matt Sigler / Fernando Fernandez The Windsor Declaration acknowledges our sector’s concern about the pressing issues of water scarcity and antimicrobial resistance. The pledge entails investing in research and development to develop more efficient toilets and showers, clearly label products so homeowners can choose options that conserve water, and lobby governments worldwide for support to save water. Vice President Sales - Bristan Group Ltd

So, thirty years ago today, Monday 20th February 1995, I started my Bristan Group Ltd journey, joining as a Sales Representative covering the West Midlands, with a very clear and ‘ambitious’ objective of transitioning the business from a small Retail DIY supplier to the leading brand in the merchant sector. It still feels like yesterday when I walked into their modest offices in Tamworth. This was my third role within the building materials industry in as many years. From the very first day, I perceived the unique culture of this business and quickly realised it was distinct from anything I had previously encountered. I felt a genuine sense of belonging, which allowed my rather reserved inner self (some may struggle with that !) to express myself more confidently. I thrived and have enjoyed every moment of it. Fast forward 30 years, and I genuinely still feel the same way. I wish to extend my gratitude to my colleagues, both past and present, for their unwavering support. To my customers and the countless individuals, I have had the pleasure of meeting in this wonderful industry, many of whom have become great friends, I will raise a glass to you all tonight and, importantly, I will also toast the many who are no longer with us. Wishing you all the very best, and here’s to many more years of success and camaraderie !🍾🥂

  • It's nearly time 📣 Not long now for KBIS if you are attending? Senior leaders, including Bristan Group Ltd CEO, Jen Cassidy, who pledged action during the Windsor Declaration will be discussing how water-efficient technologies, hygiene solutions and sustainable practices are driving real, impactful change. The session will be moderated by Tom Reynolds at the Bathroom Manufacturers Association. Did you know? Personal water use in the home has increased in the UK by circa 60% since the 1960's and there has been a 26% decline in renewable freshwater resources in the UK since 1960. (source Waterwise https://loom.ly/SHitFxs) According to the Bathroom Manufacturers Association, up to 400 million litres of water are wasted each day in the UK alone through leaky loos, which adds up to 1.46 billion litres of water a year. Join the discussion at KBIS and hear thoughts from Jen Cassidy and her fellow panel members.
