We have published a new step-by-step guide to engaging suppliers with climate action, with an eight-stage process to help you move forward. Engaging suppliers is one of the most challenging parts of the biggest challenges for organisations working to reduce their environmental impact — but it also holds huge potential to cut emissions. This resource breaks down this complex task into practical, manageable chunks. A big thank you to 3ADAPT, who we collaborated with to make this happen. https://buff.ly/fhbipbD

If you were Mayor, what would your priorities be for climate and nature? On 1 May 2025, residents in the West of England will elect a new Metro Mayor, whose role is to improve the lives of the people who live, work and travel in the West of England. We asked all four candidates “As West of England Combined Authority Mayor, what would your climate and nature priorities for the region be and how would you deliver on these?”. Learn what they had to say https://buff.ly/hnt4CDf On Wednesday 2 April you can learn more about their views on transport in the region at the Transport in the West of England Hustings chaired by Martin Booth, Editor at Bristol24/7. Tickets for the in person session are fully booked but you can still sign up to watch online https://buff.ly/2tEQvgO

How does your business impact nature? In what ways does your work rely on nature? Understanding the answers to these questions can help you minimise negative impact, take positive action and build business resilience. The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) provides a framework to do just that. Businesses can use the TNFD as a tool to integrate nature into their business planning, decision-making and risk management processes. This blog by Charlie Dixon, Associate Director at the Green Finance Institute outlines how. https://buff.ly/xHEv3fM

Bristol residents can now invest directly in projects that deliver positive environmental and social impact across Bristol. Abundance Investment have launched Bristol Climate Action Investment. Together with Bristol City Council, they are offering locals a chance to directly support green initiatives while earning a financial return. In this blog, Matt Reeves from Abundance shares how Bristol residents can get involved with as little as a £5 investment https://buff.ly/dljZeGP This work was made possible by funding from the EU’s Horizon Europe Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission as part of the Net Zero Investment Co-innovation Lab – a project led by Bristol City Council, funded by the European Union, which aims to create a series of financial mechanisms to speed up and increase investment in climate action and support zero carbon business growth.
