The Circular Fashion Innovation Network (CFIN) is an industry-led programme led by us, the BFC, and UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) in partnership with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), which exists to accelerate the UK towards a circular fashion ecosystem by 2032, bringing together industry leaders, brands, retailers, innovators, and researchers to scale existing circular initiatives and pioneer new solutions for a sustainable fashion future. In the programme's first year, we have made significant strides across our three key themes Circular Business Models, Recycling Infrastructure, and Sustainable Manufacturing, driving innovation in the UK fashion industry. Within Circular Business Models, we have conducted an industry survey on circular practices, revealing 82% of respondents have implemented at least one circular initiative, however 0% of these respondents have the confidence or plans to take them to scale. In Recycling Infrastructure, we've engaged with key industry organisations to develop a National Textile Recycling Infrastructure Plan. Within Sustainable Manufacturing, we've launched the Sustainability 101 series and several pilots to understand opportunities for increasing the sustainability in UK manufacturing.
