One week, two milestones! 🚀✨ Last Thursday, we celebrated two major achievements at Bruntwood SciTech, with the announcement of a new brand — Sister, formerly ID Manchester, and the launch of our newly redeveloped West Village in Leeds. 💡 Sister, a £1.7bn innovation district in Manchester is a 15-year project which we run in joint venture with The University of Manchester, while West Village celebrates completion of a £20m redevelopment to create state-of-the-art workspace for the tech and innovation economy in Leeds, with sustainability at its heart. 🌱 These hugely exciting milestones both form part of the £314m of investment currently underway in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Liverpool. Say hello to Sister! 🌍 Formerly known as ID Manchester, this new £1.7bn innovation district, our joint venture with The University of Manchester, has officially revealed its new name as part of a launch event in the city last night! The 15-year project is marking a major milestone with the Renold Building set to open its doors in November, and the first major customer, Sustainable Ventures, now announced 🎉 💡 Fostering collaboration and innovation across biotech, health, and advanced materials, Sister will play a pivotal role in driving economic growth, generating over 10,000 jobs and £1.5bn in annual contributions to Manchester’s economy. This latest development forms part of the £314m of investment currently underway in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Liverpool; bringing to market 1.45m sq ft of state-of-the-art workspace for innovative businesses.
