BSSEC CIC is a social enterprise, and is a practitioner-led network of stakeholders, agencies, and VCFSE organisations involved in, and committed to, growing the West Midlands social economy. We also act as a catalyst for social businesses that work in the area of economic justice to showcase their ‘do more good’ products and services through brokerage, knowledge-sharing, collaboration, thought-leadership, profile raising, events and being an ‘agent for change’. BSSEC CIC has been operating since 2000 and provides trusted social enterprise sector-led information, signposting, access to resources and news that contributes to growing the West Midlands social economy. WHAT WE DO We are passionately committed to social enterprise and we want to see the sector grow and prosper. The bigger and stronger the social enterprise sector, the more it can deliver for the individuals and communities it serves. Working together with our members and supporters, BSSEC CIC aims to create favourable environments to stimulate and sustain social enterprise growth... ● We work with the public sector to ensure that social enterprise is recognised, understood and clearly reflected in its priorities. ● We work with the private sector to increase the opportunities for social enterprises as sub-contractors, suppliers and partners. ● We lobby and advocate on behalf of the sector to raise its profile and increase its influence. ● We share information and news so that social enterprises are better connected and more informed. ● We raise resources that will benefit the sector.
