We're proud to partner with advisory organisation One Question as it pilots its unique approach in Bristol so that, through conversation and action, we can collectively tackle the ongoing issue of mental health. The conversation is the first phase of a three-year project, collaborating with leading institutions and organisations in the region, to undertake regional research, shift local policy, engage in the community, and change behaviour to reduce the risk of mental illness. In partnership with Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB, Bristol Mind, Triodos Bank, University of the West of England and Second Step, we came together last week to listen to range of stories and experiences from across our communities and worked together to address the One Question - Who is responsible for our mental health? Taking part in the conversation was our own Fiona Smith Chartered MCIPD, joined by Sarah Parsonage, Kay Rufai, Catherine Ridd, Dominic Borel, Ben Harvey, Vik Verman, sarah garlick and Dr Natasha Ward. Alice Bretherton, our Chief People Officer, says: "Talking about mental health, and articulating how you are really feeling, can be daunting. Whilst recent years have seen tremendous progress made to destigmatise conversations about mental health, efforts must continue. That's why we're incredibly proud to be partnering with One Question and our involvement in the trailblazing programme means we can make a meaningful contribution to keep our city healthy and benefit from everyone's experience to enhance our mental health strategies." #Wellbeing #MentalHealth #People

This week, we were proud to celebrate National Inclusion Week (NIW), an annual event dedicated to celebrating diversity and promoting the importance of inclusion in the workplace. Founded by Inclusive Employers in 2012, each year NIW is characterised by a theme and this year we were challenged to understand, identify and measure how Impact Matters, with a campaign designed to encourage organisations to move beyond good intentions and evaluate the real-world impact of policies, behaviours and practices on marginalised groups. On Thursday, BProud hosted Jess Atkins from Business in the Community to deliver an insightful session on LGBT+ inclusion in the workplace. #NIW2024 #Diversity #Inclusion #CSR
