In this clip from our latest podcast, Jo Szulikowski, Head of Learning Operations at Phoenix Group, joins Ellie Herriot to discuss how building the right culture can mitigate risk whilst also allowing employees to thrive. This topic is more important than ever, as the growing focus on misconduct, both financial and non-financial, continues from the FCA and the PRA among other legal and regulatory changes.

Your preparedness to prevent sexual harassment at work is an indicator for your entire culture, and whether it’s a truly supportive one. Our latest blog explains the roadmap for that preparedness in a corporate organisation 👉 https://lnkd.in/eeJ-t9Jc Take action now with our in-person and digital learning solutions. #SexualHarassment #WorkerProtectionAct Below is a full video transcript for accessibility screen readers: Tick box training is not enough to tackle workplace sexual harassment. The new legal duties for UK employers are now enforceable as of 26 October. They must show that they are taking reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment. Additionally, Labour's Employment Rights Bill is set to strengthen legislation preventing sexual harassment at work. This underscores the need for employers to begin thinking strategically now. Many organisations are instead opting for a 'quick fix' by rolling out tick box training, solely through a legal, information-focused lens. But training solely in this way risks falling short on compliance, and cannot drive meaningful change. Our latest blog explains why, and how to make meaningful change.

#WorldMentalHealthDay has been and gone, but making a real difference to your mental health goes beyond just one day alone. For our expert Rachael Forsberg, it’s all about building healthy habits, every day. But as we all know, It can feel tough to find the time whilst we’re busy with work. In the below video, she shares her top tips for building wellbeing habits into a busy working week. Below is a full video transcript for accessibility screen readers: Building healthy wellbeing habits whilst busy: Start with the small: Start with one small thing that you can realistically do every day. This will help keep you motivated and feeling that it can be achieved. Find the right time: What time of day are you the most likely to get a new habit done? When do you usually feel the most motivated? Put it in your calendar for that time, and set a reminder. Use your wasted time: We spend so much time on scrolling and watching TV. Sometimes it’s useful; sometimes we feel that it was a waste. Set a timer to use a portion of that time for your wellbeing. Celebrate what you do achieve: Give yourself a pat on the back or find an incentive to reward yourself with. When we celebrate, we’re more likely to do it again. Commit to action: We spend four minutes brushing our teeth daily, for our physical health. What if we committed time each day to mental health? Could you pair your new habit with a daily ritual? Find an accountability partner: Find someone also looking to improve, to hold each other to account. The motivation, encouragement and support could make all the difference. Reach out to Byrne Dean for help with mental health in your workplace.
