Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that Jemma White has been appointed as the Head of Women's Football at the club. White comes to Charlton with a wealth of experience in operations, management and coaching. The new Head of Women's Football continued to speak about her aims at the club: "I want to continue the success of the last few years while still improving and hopefully successfully navigating the demand we’ve seen for our women’s game. We have the players and the staff to be competitive in every situation we’ll be faced with this year so that’s the aim. "We want to push the boundaries of what this team can achieve, as individuals and collectively. Everyone in the building wants to be the best player, coach, role model and if we get that right, I’m confident we will be where we want to be at the end of the season."

This summer’s Family Fun Day will be supported by Rivervale, the UK’s leading vehicle leasing company for personal and business customers. The event, which is completely free and open to all, kicks off at midday on Tuesday, July 30th in the West Stand car park at The Valley. Alongside all of the fun activities on offer - meeting the men's and women's first-team players, face painting, mini-football games, bouncy castles, trampolines and more - attendees will be able to see some of the latest cars on the market and explore a more affordable way to get behind the wheel. Nearly 2,000 people attended the club's last Family Fun Day event in April, and with even more activities available this time around, July’s event promises to be even bigger and better. Ben Freakley, Rivervale's Group Marketing Manager, said: "We at Rivervale are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring this summer's Family Fun Day at Charlton Athletic. As the UK’s leading vehicle leasing company, we are excited to showcase our latest ULEZ compliant and affordable lease vehicles. Our long-standing relationship with Charlton Athletic and the Charlton Athletic Community Trust is something we are incredibly proud of, and we're looking forward to another fantastic day of fun, football, and community spirit." Charlton’s Head of Commercial Sales, Barry Higson, added: “A key focus of our ownership is being community-driven and the success of the first instalment of the Family Fun Day earlier this year highlighted the impact this football club has in the local community. We are delighted to be partnering with Rivervale on this event to ensure this summer’s free Family Fun Day is even bigger and better than before.” This event is part of the club's All Together, All Different, All Charlton project, supported by the Premier League Charitable Fund.
