🌱 Exciting News! Professor Laura Colucci-Gray is in Lomé, Togo, collaborating with an amazing group of teachers, researchers, and headteachers to build on the success of the “Food Activism in the Schoolyard” project. In partnership with the University of Strathclyde, University of Aberdeen, The University of Edinburgh , and One Seed Forward, and with new funding from the Scottish Government International Development Fund, we're joining forces with Slow Food Gardens and the Université de Lomé to create a strong evidence base for school gardens in primary schools. The project spans 13 schools, 130 teachers, and nearly 7,800 children across Togo. We're also co-developing a bilingual guide to support school garden education.

Come behind the curtain of The University of Edinburgh's French Theatre Society, Les Escogriffes 🇫🇷 In a new blog post, Freya Wilson, a recent graduate in French and History, tells us about her time as President of Les Escogriffes, the best parts and challenges of leading a society, and how it helped her grow as a person. 💬 “Being President means that I helped facilitate a kind of atmosphere that is spread during committee meetings or rehearsals. I try to find that sweet spot between 'We want to fundraise and put on a professional performance at Institut français d'Ecosse' and 'Let’s all have a fun time doing it!'" "I want everyone to feel like being part of a theatre production or committee is a rewarding experience. If it challenges them or is out of their comfort zone, it happens within a supportive environment." 🔗 Read Freya's blog post on our website: https://lnkd.in/giXbU3u3
