🚀 We’re set to inspire the next generation of Built Environment innovators. The built environment is responsible for 25% of the UK’s carbon emissions, yet careers in this vital sector remain largely hidden from young people. If we are to meet Net Zero 2050 goals, we must inspire the next generation to reimagine how we design, construct, and sustain our cities. At Cambridge Science Centre, we’re taking action. Together with leading industry partners—including Barnes Construction, Brockton Everlast, The Cambridge Building Society, Cemex, COEL, The Crown Estate, Trinity College Cambridge and Cambridge Science Park— we are developing an impactful hands-on STEM education programme focused on the future of sustainable construction. 💡 What’s in store for 2025? Get involved in our new events to help us develop the programme: - Interactive workshops on cutting-edge building technologies - “Meet the Industry” events to connect young people with professionals - STEM clubs tackling real-world urban design challenges Watch out for these events from March onwards. Find them posted on our events page! 📣 Join Us We’re looking for more local government and industry partners across areas of planning and development, regulation, real estate, banking, architecture, construction, building materials, energy efficiency and urban biodiversity management to help shape this initiative. 📖 Read more about our project >> https://lnkd.in/eycRMCBB ✉️ Contact Cambridge Science Centre on programmes@cambridgesciencecentre.org to explore partnership opportunities. #BuiltEnvironment #SustainableConstruction #NetZero2050 #UrbanDesign #GreenBuilding #SmartCities #FutureOfConstruction #STEMEducation #ScienceForAll #CharityPartners #EnergyEfficient #EnergyEfficientHome #Sustainability
