We want to share with you all Cambridgeshire County Council’s Social Media House Rules. We want our social media channels to be a place where we can all engage in a friendly and informative way. To help keep these online spaces positive and engaging we have some simple Social Media House Rules. We want to help as much as we can, we’re available on our social media channels Monday – Friday during office hours, except Bank Holidays and weekends. We aim to get back to messages and respond to direct post queries as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to comply with each social media platform’s terms of use. If you are commenting on our posts, please remember that you are fully responsible for that content. Please always treat others as you’d like to be treated yourself - this includes residents posting comments and our employees who put content on our channels. Please let’s all keep our conversations respectful. Promotion and external links on our posts will be removed. Our channels are a place for open discussion for all our communities but we reserve the right to remove, block and / or report posts that go against our External Social Media Operational Guidelines (https://lnkd.in/eEccHg-R) If you continually go against our house rules, we will block you from our social media channels. Anyone who feels they have been unfairly blocked has a right to appeal through our council complaints procedures. More information can be found on our website Council complaints procedures - Cambridgeshire County Council And one last thing, those of us looking after these channels are human too. Please be mindful of that when posting. We all make mistakes from time to time, but we want to try to make our social media platforms places where everyone feels comfortable joining in a conversation and can use our channels to keep up to date with information from Cambridgeshire County Council.

About us
Our vision is to create a greener, fairer and more caring Cambridgeshire. We want to be ‘greener’, because tackling the climate crisis and looking after nature is necessary to help our communities to thrive in a changing environment. We want to be ‘fairer’, because the pandemic and cost of living crisis that followed have worsened inequalities in health, income and education, and we need to make sure the prosperity enjoyed in some parts of the county is enjoyed by all. We want to be more ‘caring’, because the most vulnerable in our county are the most at risk of needing additional care and support. We can reduce these risks by intervening early to prevent further escalation of need. We deliver our key services through the following directorates: Adults, Health and Commissioning Children, Education and Families Finance and Resources Place and Sustainability Strategy and Partnerships
