In 2023, dementia was the single largest cause of death in the UK. Cambridge Vision Technology is shifting its approach to dementia by transitioning from observational clinical practices to interventional methods, aiming to enhance early detection technology and offer new hope for patients. Cambridge Vision Technology uses AI-based technology to detect Alzheimer’s disease early on using ocular biomarkers. In a new feature, they emphasise the importance of early detection of dementia to improve clinical outcomes for disease therapies and maximise the economic and societal impact of this innovative new technology. 🔗 https://bit.ly/4erWR5G #Dementia #AlzheimersDisease

We enjoyed meeting old friends and new today at #camtechweek. Shoutout to impulse alumni Ismail Sami of Molyon, Franck Courbon of Ethicronics and Andrew Kadis of Cambridge Vision Technology exhibiting at Innovation Alley. The fireside chat between “Cambridge treasure” and dear friend to impulse, David Cleevely CBE FREng FIET and Henri Murison of The Northern Powerhouse Partnership about Cambridge’s contribution to the wider UK tech ecosystem particularly resonated. impulse is open to participants from anywhere. Access to the unique Cambridge network and mixing of participants from the University of Cambridge with other universities, institutes and early-stage entrepreneurs is something that we think makes the programme pretty special.
