What do heart surgeons and top chefs have in common? Dexterity. Global med tech company Getinge wanted to increase brand awareness and secure itself as a trusted partner within cardiac surgery. Heart surgeons know that dexterity is a must-have skill, and they’re always looking for ways to practise. So, the Heart Surgeon’s Cookbook was born. Complete with recipes that require a high level of precision – such as sewing dumplings with thread made from leeks – it gave surgeons a fun (and delicious) way to sharpen their skills. The story generated 400+ pieces of earned media, 514,000 site clicks and 14m views on the films. The cookbook is now used by surgeons in 23 markets, reaching Getinge’s specific audience.
