🌳Grow Trees - Grow Hope: A very Happy International Day of Forests 🌳 Since 2023 Carbon Underwriting has been a partner of Tree Aid, which works with people in the drylands of Africa to tackle poverty and the effects of the climate crisis by growing trees, improving incomes, and restoring and protecting land. Tree Aid supports people living on the frontline of the climate crisis. For these people, trees are a lifeline. This year’s #InternationalDayOfForests theme, Forests and Food, highlights the crucial role trees play in nourishing people and the planet. For Tree Aid, restoring trees isn’t just about tackling climate change, it’s about ensuring communities can thrive with sustainable sources of nutrition and livelihoods. We’re proud to stand with Tree Aid and together we're making a change, one tree at a time. 💚 Find out more and get involved: https://lnkd.in/eKcgFR_a #InternationalDayOfForests #GrowTrees #GrowHope #ForestsAndFood

Less Talk, More Action: Acceleration is the Key 🚀 “In 2025, we must move beyond merely identifying barriers. The focus should be on the progress we’ve made and, crucially, how we continue to accelerate that progress.” – Jacqui Ferrier, Founding Partner & CUO, Carbon Underwriting. Jacqui has built a career in London’s insurance market by challenging norms and driving change. From navigating biases as an outsider to championing real inclusion, her story is one of resilience, mentorship, and action. While initiatives like Dive-In have moved the needle, now is not the time to slow down. The risk of complacency is real, and progress must be accelerated. At Carbon, we’re committed to action, ensuring that inclusion isn’t just a buzzword - it’s ingrained in everything we do. 2025 is about acceleration, not just conversation. Let’s keep pushing forward, together! Read Jacqui’s full story here: https://lnkd.in/ezDnfWYa #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

The average Graphene user frees up 16 hours a week by automating bordereaux processing - and that’s a conservative estimate! Graphene is central to Carbon’s strategy, enabling us to challenge industry norms and explore new avenues for growth. Our team of developers, quants and underwriters have worked together - breaching the silo mentality that too often hinders innovation - to pioneer a completely unique approach. We ❤️ Devonshire Square! We love that we get to work in the amazing space that is Devonshire Square (DSQ). DSQ works so hard to keep the areas that we work in a fun and creative space to come to every day. To celebrate Valentine's Day, DSQ is hosting its iconic interactive installation, The Garden of Hearts. Dedicated to the British Heart Foundation, The Garden of Heart has been created to raise awareness of the outstanding medical research work funded by the charity to fight all heart and circulatory diseases. To support the British Heart Foundation, DSQ is promoting the #Nobrokenhearts fundraising campaign, an initiative that encourages donating high-quality pre-loved clothing or books to local BHF charity shops. This colourful creation features hundreds of eco-friendly, heart-shaped red balloons, symbolising the power of love, compassion, and unity within communities. The installation is free and open to everyone on 14 February. 🚀 A huge thank you to ITC London and everyone we connected with - your insights, energy, and innovation are shaping the future of insurance. One of the highlights of the conference was our participation in the AI Proof of Concept panel session, where we delved into what it takes to effectively scale AI. The discussion underlined how fostering a strong people model is essential for unlocking the true potential of advanced summarisation tools. Building both defined data models and adaptable culture models cohesively, enables better decision-making and future-ready innovations, and mature companies must ensure clear change management plans to provide clarity and direction for everyone. As a young cloud-native company, Carbon has been able to embrace AI from day one, embedding adaptability into our DNA and allowing us to move fast, stay agile, and delivering smarter, more efficient solutions for our partners. As we step into 2025, our focus remains on balancing innovation through both technology and culture. Our priority continues to be listening to our partners, understanding their needs, and applying AI in ways that create real, tangible value for the people who rely on us. We understand that innovation goes beyond digitisation, it’s about being creative and reactive to challenges, reimagining processes and embracing new ways of working. The true challenge - and opportunity - lies not in simply adopting AI, but in ensuring it delivers value where it matters most. Here’s to continuing the momentum and driving meaningful change in InsurTech! 🚀 #ITCLondon2025 #Insurtech #AI #Innovation
