The 2024 international #braintumourawareness week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of the challenges and difficulties of a brain tumour diagnosis, calling on individuals and organisations to raise awareness of brain tumour patients and to fundraise for research into this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research supports the campaign started by the International Brain Tumour Alliance (IBTA). #ADHDAwarenessMonth highlights the importance of supporting and actively improving the quality of life of those living with and impacted by ADHD. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects people’s behaviours, making them restless, inattentive and impulsive. Many have difficulty paying attention, being still, remembering things, or controlling their impulses. People with ADHD will not always fall into all of these categories, i.e. around 2 to 3 in 10 people with the condition have problems with concentrating and focusing, but not with hyperactivity or impulsiveness. ADHD is usually diagnosed in childhood, but can last into adulthood.
