  • 🌞 Let the sun shine with solar scents! Solar scents evoke the warmth, radiance and sensuality of sun-kissed skin. A solar fragrance is all about the feeling of basking in the sun's glow, the soft warmth of golden rays, and the sensation of sun-warmed skin. But what makes solar scents so special? Solar fragrances are layered and complex, blending various notes to create an enveloping, sunlit scent. This fragrance description can span any number of different fragrance families and categories. 🌸 From the dreamy florals like ylang-ylang or jasmine, adding a soft, sensual touch. These are often paired with breezy blossoms like orange blossom or neroli, which add a fresh, uplifting quality. 🌳 To grounding fragrances such as warm woods and spices like sandalwood and vanilla, evoking the golden light of sunset. 🏖️ Some even feature solar accords, synthetic notes that mimic the musky, warm scent of sun-kissed skin, making the fragrance feel intimate and personal. • Oh Baby! 👶 When it comes to caring for your baby, every choice feels important, especially when it comes to what goes on their delicate skin. As a result, if you are looking for a scent for a childcare or baby product, we formulate our fragrances specifically for that use. Firstly, why are baby products scented? 🍼🧴 1- They can have a calming effect - Scents like lavender and chamomile are known for their soothing properties, which can help calm a fussy baby or encourage sleep. 2 - Routine Reinforcement - Using the same lightly scented product during bedtime or bath time can help signal to a baby that it’s time to wind down. 3 - Bonding - The scent of a baby lotion or wash used consistently can become associated with comfort and security and strengthen the bond between child and caregiver. Choosing the right products is crucial. 🎇 Here are our Top Tips ⭐ for when looking for a fragrance specifically for use in a childcare or baby product. 🌿 - Allergen-Free Fragrance Formulations - We have a wide range of allergen-free fragrances which limit the potential for skin irritations. These allergen-free fragrances are developed with a specific use type in mind. 🧪 - Don't Skip Test Stage - Before any new product is launched to the market it will often go through many rounds of testing and development. Patch testing and checking the fragrance in a final formulation is absolutely critical. 💭 - Consider your fragrance carefully - Fragrance for baby products tends to lean into natural-inspired fragrances but when using naturals or essential oils can trigger any number of complications around a fragrance, so considerations around what fragrance will be best is a crucial part of the selection process.Natural doesn’t always mean safe. Some essential oils can be too harsh for a baby’s skin MOST IMPORTANTLY 🧴 - If you are looking at creating a product that may end up in a baby product, please let us know. It is much easier for us select an appropriate fragrances once we know what that fragrance will be used for. #babyproducts #baby #skincare #fragrance #babycare

Launches we love – August edition Although this isn't a recent launch we are lovin’ all things milky and honeyed right now. Take a look at our blog for plenty of examples of this. Commodity Milk is a cosy and comforting scent characterised by its creamy, cozy and slightly sweet profile. It is a comforting and inviting fragrance, perfect for those who enjoy gourmand scents with a subtle woody undertone. The combination of milky and sweet notes creates a scent that is both nostalgic and contemporary, making it incredible versatile and as a result suitable for use in any number of final product applications. The scent opens with a clean, soft and subtle aroma that sets a smooth base for the fragrance. It is followed by a creamy and warm nuance, reminiscent of fresh, comforting milk. In the heart, Mahogany contributes a woody richness and depth and Tonka Bean offers a sweet, vanilla-like aroma that blends seamlessly with the milk note, enhancing the creamy sweetness. This is accompanied by a marshmallow and amber base means that it is a sumptuous and indulgent delight. #CommodityMilk #Milky #MilkFragrances #Sweet #FragranceLaunches #TrendingFragrances

  • Ever wondered what the difference is between perfume, eau de toilette and colognes? Well here is our Frequently asked Friday post to answer your questions. It's all about #inclusion. Perfumes and eau de toilettes and colognes differ in their concentration or 'inclusion level'. This is essentially the amount of fragrance oil present in the product. The higher the inclusion level, the more concentrated the scent is. 🌼 Perfume: Ah, the crème de la crème of fragrances! Perfumes typically have the highest inclusion level, ranging from a whopping 20-40%. That's right, folks, they pack a mighty punch and are known for their incredible staying power. A few spritzes of perfume can last you all day, leaving a captivating trail wherever you go. 💃🌹 This can be even stronger with absolutes or extracts. 🌸 Eau de Toilette (EDT): Now, let's talk about a slightly lighter option. #EDTs usually have a lower inclusion level, typically around 7-15%. But don't underestimate them! While they might not have the same long-lasting power as #perfumes, they still offer a delightful burst of fragrance that can last for several hours. 💁🌺 🌿 Colognes: Last but not least, let's give some love to colognes! These bad boys have a lower inclusion level than both #perfumes and EDTs, usually ranging from 3-7%. While their concentration might be lower, colognes are perfect for those who prefer a lighter and more subtle scent. They're refreshingly invigorating and ideal for daily wear throughout the day. 🌱💦 So, Now you know the difference. 🌟✨ #frequentlyasked #perfumery #perfume

  • Our flower of the month for August is Poppy. The use of poppy as a fragrance note in the perfume industry is both imaginative and evocative. Poppies, especially red poppies, carry a rich cultural and historical significance, symbolising remembrance, beauty and even opulence. However, the actual scent of poppy flowers is very subtle and not as distinctly recognisable as other florals like roses or jasmines. As a result, perfumers use a degree of creative liberty when crafting poppy-inspired fragrances. The most notable and successful example of poppy-inspired fragrance is the Kenzo Flower line. Launched in 2000, Kenzo Flower became iconic due to its unique approach to floral scents. The fragrance blends a mix of floral, powdery and woody notes to evoke the essence of a delicate, urban flower. #Poppy #Creative #Perfume #FragranceInspiration #FragranceEducation

  • New Blog Alert: The Land of Milk and Honey Fragrances Milk and Honey Fragrances are #trending once again! The origination of the phrase “the Land of Milk and Honey” refers to a bible passage where God promises to take the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt to a “good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.” As a result, milk and honey have long been associated with plentiful sustenance and comfort. Back in the world of fragrance, these currently trending scents are the olfactive equivalent of wearing a soft cosy security blanket. Milky, lactonic textures and honeyed scents add a touch of #creamy comfort to the fragrance landscape, evoking a sense of indulgence and warmth. Lactonic or Milk notes are experiencing growing interest. Once a rare and novel ingredient, milk has now taken centre stage, offering a unique blend of warmth, comfort and sophistication. Read on to learn more about our favourite milk and honey fragrances and the top trending scents #Milk #Honey #FragranceInFocus #Perfumery #Fragrance

  • "What is a Fragrance Triangle?" 🔺 🌸 Frequently Asked Friday is here again, answering some of the most common questions we get asked. So how does a Fragrance triangle help us to understand a fragrance? and how does it work? Also known as a fragrance pyramid, this triangular diagram attempts to make sense of a fragrance. The triangle is comprised of 3 sections; top notes, middle or heart notes and bottom or base notes. This diagram helps us to visualise a perfume or fragrance by highlighting some of the different recognisable scent notes. 🍋 Top Notes: These are the scents that you smell first and make an initial impression. They are often fresh, fruity and light. Think citrus, herbs and light fruits. 🌷 Middle/Heart Notes: These heart notes will emerge after the top notes fade. These are floral, spicy and green scents. 🌲 Base Notes: The base notes make up the lasting memory that the fragrance leaves behind. These are more often than not, deep rich scents that linger. Woody, musky and amber notes create the foundation upon which the entire fragrance rests upon. A fragrance triangle allows you to appreciate the complexity of the scent and the different facets which make up a fully developed scent. So now you know! #FragranceTriangle #PerfumeMagic #ScentScience
