Trustees’ Week Celebrating, supporting and inspiring trustees. This year Trustees’ Week takes place from 4 to 8 November 2024. We know resilient charities like CASPA help create stronger communities. Having full and active trustee boards is crucial to achieving this. Big thanks to our Trustees James Hunt, Helen Smith, Simon Boyle, James Cleverly, Sharon Harrison for the support and challenge that you provide CASPA to achieve its strategic goals. It’s no secret that trustee recruitment is difficult. According to the Charity Commission’s Breath of Fresh Air report, anywhere between one in three and one in two charities have a trustee vacancy. If you are interested and believe you have the skills around hr, legal or marketing/communications please get in touch to find out more about joining CASPA's Trustees at contactus@caspabromely.org.uk. #Trusteesweek #CASPA #Charity #AutismAcceptance

It was a joy and privilege to deliver CASPA’s autism inclusion seminar to members of BNI London South East, Bromley & Croydon last week. BNI (Business Network International) is known for building professional networks focused on business opportunities and growth. It was the genuine connection between members and the commitment to local community interests that stood out most during our session. I look forward to working with the Bromley-based members during the next part of their Autism Promise Partnership journey. #thisisautism #actuallyautistic #EDI #neurodiversity

With huge thanks to Verve Homecare as a Homecare provider that looks after children and adult with complex needs and mental health needs they truly understand the importance of CASPA. Members from their senior management team took on the challenge of climbing mount Snowdon in a bid to raise funds for CASPA a charity close to their hearts. Those participating took on this challenge which is something completely out of their comfort zones. “We wanted to do this for those we support and show our solidarity with not only the cause but in support of the amazing work that CASPA do”. Thank you so much Charlie O'Connor and your incredible team. Hello everyone! As many of you know, I'm not a fan of wet and cold weather—I much prefer the beach and sea. However, I’m taking on a challenge for a good cause! On October 12th, my team Verve Homecare and I will be climbing Snowdon to raise funds for CASPA —Community Autistic Support, Pride, and Advocacy. I’d greatly appreciate any donations, big or small, to support this important initiative in our community. Please share this message to help spread the word! Thank you for all your support 🙏🏼♥️ #vervehomecare #charity #caspa #Autism #snowdon #nursing #homecare #verve

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY Statistics show that at least 80% of Autistic people will suffer with their mental health. Mental health is everywhere and having a support network is vital. Let’s break the stigma and speak up to let others know, “it’s okay not to be okay!” #CASPA #Charity #AutismAcceptance #WMHD #Worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealth

This courageous group of hikers took on the Three Peaks challenge over the weekend to raise funds for CASPA in support of our mission to provide activities, trips, and clubs for autistic children, young people, and adults to make friends, learn life skills, feel proud of their neurodiversity, self-advocate, and live their best lives. Their endeavour also inspired me to take on a significant challenge of my own: driving a 12-seater minibus for the first time, all the way to Wales alone (also for the first time), and back again to pick up the group at the end of their third and final peak. Anxiety and caution around trying new things, navigating travel, and going to unfamiliar places, are challenges many autistic people face daily. The hikers' dedication and support from colleagues made it possible to take on a journey with many variables and unknowns, despite any fears and intrusive thoughts, ultimately to build confidence, grow resilience, and overcome personal barriers. Fundraising, donating, and volunteering all make a tangible impact beyond the immediate and obvious outcomes. Your efforts are changing lives. Thank you. To our autistic members, continue being your brave, curious and amazing selves. CASPA, along with everyone who supports us, has your back. A special thanks to Charlie Mullins for donating the CASPA minibus, which gives our members more opportunities to expand their horizons and take on new adventures. #actuallyautistic #fundraising #impact #thisisautism #autismunmasked
