ADNOC Group Germany AG has agreed to acquire Covestro for €14.7 billion. The partnership strengthens Covestro’s position in sustainability and attractive growth sectors, with ADNOC committing to Covestro's sustainable future strategy and supporting its transition towards a circular economy. 2. Honeywell has completed the acquisition of Air Products' liquefied natural gas (LNG) process technology and equipment business for $1.81 billion in an all-cash transaction. This acquisition expands Honeywell’s energy transition portfolio, integrating Air Products’ coil-wound heat exchangers (CWHE) technology into its existing suite of solutions.     3. Woodside Energy Group has completed the acquisition of OCI Global’s 1.1 million metric tonnes clean ammonia project in Beaumont, Texas, for $2.35 billion. OCI will continue to manage the project’s construction through to production, targeting first ammonia in 2025 and lower-carbon ammonia in 2026, while the sale marks a major step in OCI’s strategic value creation and capital allocation priorities.     4. dsm-firmenich has completed the sale of its MEG-3® fish oil business, which serves the food and beverage, dietary supplement, and pharma markets, to KD Pharma Group. As part of the transaction, dsm-firmenich has acquired a 29% minority stake in KD Pharma's parent company, MidCo Omega GmbH, while continuing to innovate in nutrition and health.    5. ProPharma has announced the appointment of Dawn Sherman as CEO, marking her return to the role after previously serving from 2018 to 2021. Sherman brings nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences, having most recently served as CEO of LabConnect.     #MergersandAcquisitions #CorporateDevelopments #ChemicalIndustry

BASF’s Divestment Strategy to Focus on Core 🏛️ 📊    As reported by Bloomberg earlier this month, BASF may be exploring several strategic restructuring options, with a speculative listing of its agricultural solutions unit by 2027.     Key business potentially under review: ▪️BASF’s agricultural solutions unit may see an IPO by 2027. The division achieved over €10m sales in 2023🌾  ▪️Collaboration and risk mitigation are being considered for the battery materials segment amid fluctuating electric vehicle demand. 🔋   ▪️The coatings division (including the Brazilian decorative paints business) is reviewing partnership or divestment opportunities to support operational streamlining under current market pressures.    We will keep a close watch on the industry landscape and any potential restructuring announcements on BASF’s agricultural chemicals business. #BASF #Restructuring #DivestmentStrategy #ChemicalIndsutry
