Today marks a significant milestone for the future of food production! 🚀 CELLULAR AGRICULTURE LTD is proud to have supported a pioneering report led by the Royal Agricultural University (RAU), suggesting a collaborative path forward for traditional agriculture and cultured meat industries. 🤝🏭 Led by Professor Tom MacMillan, the study involved an advisory group of farming organisations and cultured meat businesses, practical workshops with policymakers, and collaboration with nine UK farms. The findings reveal exciting possibilities for using by-products from farming to make cultured meat more sustainable and affordable. 💡🔬 This innovative approach not only supports production of sustainable cultivated meat but also offers new opportunities for farmers and reduces environmental impact. We believe that by working together, we can create a food system that benefits everyone. 🌏🍽️ Dive into the full report to explore the potential of this transformative collaboration! https://lnkd.in/ehD8wkus #CellularAgriculture #CultivatedProtein #FutureOfFood Dr. Alexandra Sexton
About us
Cell Ag Ltd was founded in early 2016 as the first UK startup in the cell-based meat space. In 2018, InnovateUK funding supported the development of a proof of concept bioreactor system, a version of which was displayed at Nemo Science Museum, Amsterdam through the summer of 2019 as the first automated cultured meat system to be demonstrated publicly in the World. An extensive research and development program looks to deliver scaled technology for multi species cell-based meat technology.

Yesterday our CEO, Illtud Dunsford participated in the 4th International Food Innovation Conference at the GDI Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute. The conference delved into the cultural clash that faces the food industry as tradition intersects with innovation. Industry thought leaders sparked key discussions on how our food systems are evolving in the face of climate change and shifts in consumer trends. https://lnkd.in/e7Vpu83W Illtud was on stage in conversation with broadcaster Florian Inhauser, discussing the imagined futures of scaled cultivated meat production and the role of traditional agriculture and the food industry in this nascent field. Fellow cell ag industry speakers included Eva Sommer from Fermify and Nicolas Morin-Forest from GOURMEY. The diverse range of speakers drew from across the spectrum, with contributions from Marta Messa of Slow Food, research on longevity by Nick Buettner of Blue Zones, insight into the switch from traditional meat business to plant-based by Patrick Buhr of Rügenwalder Mühle Carl Müller GmbH & Co. KG, and a fascinating closing keynote from Fuchsia Dunlop delving into Chinese regional cuisine and the largely untapped resource of historic dishes that are plant-forward. Thank you to GDI Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute for the invitation. Save the date, the 5th edition has already been announced for 19th June 2025. https://lnkd.in/eKfEa2Ba #FutureOfFood #CellularAgriculture #CultivatedProtein CELLULAR AGRICULTURE LTD

Excited to share insights from our CEO, Illtud Llyr Dunsford's inspiring visit to CSIRO's Black Mountain campus in Canberra. Heartfelt thanks to our hosts and all the brilliant minds engaged in groundbreaking research. 🔬🌟 CELLULAR AGRICULTURE LTD #CellularAgriculture #CultivatedProtein #Innovation
My last day of meetings here in Australia as part of the CSIRO Venture Exchange Program. A full day hosted by CSIRO to visit varying departments at their Black Mountains campus in Canberra. A huge thank you to Max Sim from the Singaporean Office for accompanying me today and for facilitating this visit. Thanks too to all I’ve met throughout the day, with a special mention to Rob Allen and Carol Hartley for their lab tours to meet their respective teams and to learn about their research. I still get a sense of boyish wonder when I learn about the ground breaking research that global leaders are doing in the field of innovation. Thank you. Oh, and I also saw a kangaroo!

Inspiration in action! ✨ Thanks to George Peppou and the Vow team for showcasing their groundbreaking work in cultivated protein. We're proud to see our CEO, Illtud Llyr Dunsford, leading the way! 🤝 CELLULAR AGRICULTURE LTD #CellularAgriculture #CultivatedProtein #FutureofFood
Thank you to George Peppou and the team at Vow for the warm welcome today at their home in Sydney. I’m seriously impressed at what this team has built over the past 5 years. Privileged to have had a site visit to see their production scaling and equally to have secured a spot a few weeks ago to taste their Forged by Vow parfait products in Singapore. I’m encouraged by their progress which genuinely gives me hope that widespread access to cultivated protein is a few steps closer.
