It was an amazing, enjoyable, and fun weekly meeting with our supervisors! With a solid foundation gained through our taught course modules at Cranfield University, we are excited to have started our group project, where we put theory into practice! As part of our MSc program, we are working on "Optimizing Multimodal Logistics for a Sustainable Net-Zero Future", using DHL as our case study. This project is part of #TransiT, a #£46 million national research hub focused on accelerating the decarbonization of UK transport through cutting-edge digital twinning technologies. Grateful for the support of our incredible supervisors, Christina Latsou and Maryam Farsi, and for the collaboration with my amazing teammates Marie Maraval, Gopal Krishna Ullattil, and Nihal Ramesh Salian. The journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and we are excited to apply our knowledge to real-world sustainability challenges! Our discussion covered key objectives: ✅ What is an ecosystem? – Understanding the fundamental structure and interactions. ✅ Different types of ecosystems – Exploring variations across industries and domains. ✅ Ecosystem for digital twins – Examining the critical components that enable effective DT deployment. ✅ Impact on DT adoption – Identifying key enablers and barriers in real-world applications. Happy Valentine's Day. From our heart to yours. 💙 Our Living Heart Human Model is a high-fidelity multiphysics model of a healthy, 4-chamber adult human heart and proximal vasculature. The Living Heart can readily be used to study cardiac defects and diseased states and explore treatment options. Model attributes can be modified or redefined entirely, including the geometry, loads and boundary conditions, and material properties. Medical devices can be inserted into the model to study their influence on cardiac function, to validate their efficacy, and to predict their reliability under a wide range of operating conditions. The Living Heart Human Model was developed within the Living Heart Project, a translational initiative to advance the use of simulation in the delivery of safe and effective cardiovascular devices and clinical treatments.
