Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when our demand for the planet’s ecological resources exceeds what can be regenerated in a year. Since the first Earth Overshoot Day on 25th December 1971, we now hit this mark nearly five months earlier. This shift highlights the growing pressure we place on our planet's resources. At CHEP, we’re playing our role in pushing back this date through our circular model, designed to break the impact of linear consumption. Here’s how we do it: 1. Designing out waste and pollution → by providing pooled alternatives to single-use platforms 2. Keeping products and materials in use → by repairing our platforms so that they can be shared and reused over and again 3.
