If you know someone who is bereaved, don’t be afraid to share a happy memory of their special person. Sharing your memories shows you care and can help your friend feel a connection to the person who has died. For more ideas from young people 👉 ow.ly/54VB50Sq6X0 S #TimeToTalkDay
Child Bereavement UK
Non-profit Organization Management
We support families and educate professionals when a child of any age dies, and when a child or young person grieves.
About us
Child Bereavement UK helps children, parents and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people up to the age of 25 who are facing bereavement, and anyone affected by the death of a child of any age. We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families. We provide ongoing professional support to bereaved children and families and also support the individuals and organisations that become involved with these families. We do this through our training, our national helpline, via our website, and face to face at an increasing number of locations across the UK. We continually strive to raise the profile of child bereavement as an issue, and to ensure that the interests and needs of bereaved children and families are reflected in policy and practice. We map and raise awareness of the support that is available across the UK and are a trusted authority for the media and others on issues relating to child bereavement. In the UK, when a baby or child dies, or a child is bereaved, many of those affected are unable to access good quality support which meets their individual needs. Child Bereavement UK believes all families should have the support they need to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Our aim is to make sure they do.

We were honoured to welcome our Royal Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales, to our bereavement service in Widnes, Cheshire. The Prince was introduced to parents and young people we support as well as volunteers, long-standing supporters and staff who provide our bereavement support services. Speaking about the support offered by Child Bereavement UK, The Prince said: "Sometimes the hardest thing about grief is finding the words for how you actually feel. It’s crucial in those first few years, particularly, that you have support like this." Read more about the visit here: https://lnkd.in/eRnytf2A
