We are delighted to continue our partnership with Down's Syndrome Association, by hosting the 'My Perspective' exhibition from Monday 17th March for one week in London, at Christie's King Street (SW1Y 6QT). My Perspective is an international photography competition for people who have Down's syndrome. Outstanding images from around the globe have been celebrated in this unique competition for over ten years. Launched in 2010, My Perspective offers the opportunity for photographers who have Down’s syndrome to show us their perspective, their point of view. This exhibition displays the work of our 2024 finalists and winners in the adult and child categories and the Stephen Thomas category. www.downs-syndrome.org.uk #Christies #Downssyndromeassociation #MyPerspective #ResponsibleCulture

Announcing the Recipients of the 2024 Christie’s Grant for Nazi-era Provenance Research Christie’s is delighted to award grants to five outstanding new voices in provenance research: Emma van Benthem, Reilly Clark, Jack Emery, Shir Kochavi, and Emily Etlin. Restitution-focused provenance research remains the keystone to addressing the losses of the Nazi era and these five grant recipients will help to shed light on the following areas: the activities of the Afdeling Binnenland of the Stichting NederlandsKunstbezit in the Netherlands during the immediate post-war years; the market for art and cultural objects from the Global South during the Occupation of Paris from 1940 to 1944; the Monuments Fine Arts and Archives (MFAA) officers’ activities in Asia at the end of the Second World War; Jewish émigré dealers in New York and the market for Nazi-looted heirless objects; and current US legislation and litigation related to art restitution. Congratulations to Emma, Reilly, Jack, Shir, and Emily from the global Christie’s Restitution team. Post-War to Present is the premiere platform for today's leading artists and celebrated figures of the post-war period. Juxtaposing contemporary perspectives on figuration and abstraction with the pioneering experimentations of the post-war era, the auction embodies the expressive highpoints in the lineage of 20th- and 21st- century art. A selection of works in the sale benefit L'Alliance New York, a not-for-profit organization that promotes francophone cultural programming and French language education.
