🌿Did you know?🌿 Many reptiles, amphibians, and even some insects hibernate through the winter in cosy underground shelters called hibernacula! These safe havens protect them from the cold, predators, and harsh weather. The best part? You can build a hibernaculum right in your garden🏡🐍 All you need is: 🐢 A shallow pit (about 60-90cm deep) 🐍 Logs, rocks, bricks, and leaves for insulation 🦎 Soil for cover 🐸 A small entrance for creatures to crawl in, we used these pipes! By creating a hibernaculum, you’ll help these species thrive this spring! 🌱💚
