We're excited to share that Claywood Construction has been entrusted with the transformation of a prominent building in the heart of Harrogate! The project will include converting the existing basement into modern office spaces, meeting rooms, a staff room and new WC facilities. Following the dedication and hard work of our delivery team and the successful completion of our Energy Centre 1 project for E.ON at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Claywood Construction is thrilled to announce that we have been appointed to deliver Energy Centre 2! As the bigger and more advanced counterpart to EC1, this project will feature a 10,000+ sqft purpose built facility designed to house essential new infrastructure, including: ✅ Transformers ✅ Heat pump rooms ✅ Plant areas ✅ Generator & LV rooms ✅ A specialist heated roof for dry air coolers, discreetly enclosed by a 6m-high acoustic louvre wall system. Meet Ben our Bricklaying Apprentice. Ben has been making great progress in his apprenticeship recently learning about cavity walling, wall ties and damp proof courses (DPC) at Leeds College of Building. He has been putting his skills into practice by constructing a corner wall and will soon take on a larger more technical build with a blockwork intersection. Friday marked a momentous day for Winthrop Gardens as we celebrated the official opening of the new Café and Gardens with MP Jake Richards. This incredible space is more than just a building it's a community hub that will serve Wickersley for decades to come. Led by a dedicated team of volunteers Winthrop Gardens is a place of connection, support and inclusivity offering everything from Memory Café sessions for those living with dementia to weekly craft classes and guided walks. It’s a space run by the community for the community.
