Full of nostalgic touches and modernist accessories, Tonen Agency's inspired design for Copenhagen Food Collective’s new Hotel Bella Grande is pure fantasy. Hotel Bella Grande, which opened in the spring, follows on from Tonen’s 89-room Parisian-style Coco Hotel. For that one, which opened in 2021, Tonen’s founders Malene Bech-Pedersen and Mette Bonavent mixed modern and classic aesthetics, using vintage and new pieces. As well as these two ventures, Cofoco also operates 18 restaurants across the capital. Read more about this week's #PinkFriday here: https://zurl.co/gxsd

Ready to turn their historic past into a bright future, the rambling craftsmen’s workshops behind the Tottenham Court Road frontage of the Heal's Building have been reimagined for 21st-century creatives. It could have easily been discarded during the building’s two-and-a-half-year makeover. But Ben Cross, a director at property developer General Projects wouldn’t allow it. By moving the Heal’s shop into a 4,650-square-metre space in the building’s northwest corner – the area formerly occupied by Habitat – the developers unlocked 6,500 square metres, which was turned into office space by architects Buckley Gray Yeoman and White Red. Danish design brand HAY knows a thing or two about how to keep our menus fresh with the unveiling of its new Barro Collection. Realised in collaboration with Portuguese product designer Rui Pereira, the playful rounded shapes and joyful pastel shades – which range from green and dark blue to light blue, off-white, pink and terracotta – epitomise the very best of Danish design and highlight the value of traditional Portuguese craftsmanship. A cosy restaurant and cocktail bar in Richmond, Virginia is where we are headed for this week's #PinkFriday. Featuring pink walls, carpeting, and upholstery, designed by the local firm Studio Tarea, this former studio apartment is described as a '90's fever dream'. Chef Brittanny Anderson's 18 seat restaurant took inspiration from teen girl bedrooms in the 1990's, reflected in the choice of bright colours and plush textures, including a custom made Moroccan rug.

By giving the communal areas of the well-known advertising agency a gentle refresh rather than an all-out revamp, design consultancy Holloway Li added a new heart to Mother 's soul. Unbridled independence and imagination are the hallmarks of Mother, and are aptly reflected at its headquarters in London’s Shoreditch neighbourhood. To celebrate Mother’s distinctive spirit, local design practice Holloway Li has gently reimagined the ground floor of the 42,000-square-foot former Lipton tea-packing warehouse, also known as the Biscuit Building, into an enticing shopfront. Taking inspiration from 17th-century weaving workshops, architects Bureau de Change have created a richly textured space for the new HQ of Somesuch films in London. Thoughtfully arranged around the central core are a variety of meeting rooms, offices, boardrooms and break-out spaces, designed to introduce a diversity of work environments at different scales. Rather than simple rows of desks, employees can choose to work from the library, bar seating, armchairs or meeting rooms. Read more here: https://zurl.co/brlr #WorkplaceWednesday

Nearly a century after its construction – including a time when its owners were forced to flee for their lives and its spacious living room was used to stable horses – the minimalist splendour of Mies van der Rohe’s Villa Tugendhat once again shines through. Villa Tugendhat is one of half a dozen fine prewar mansions which can be visited in the city that showcased early 20th century building philosophies, but the only one with a huge living space devoid of supporting walls, which can be opened entirely to the garden via gigantic windows retractable from ceiling to floor at the touch of a button.
