CNG Fuels is committed to building and operating Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) distribution infrastructure throughout the UK; primarliy through the rollout of public access CNG refuelling stations. Our goal is to provide fleet operators with a low-cost and emissions conscious fuel source through a reliable gas-infrastructure network. CNG Fuels provides CNG directly to transport customers at our infrastructure as well as to customers looking for off-grid solutions. Such off grid applications include the provision of CNG via trailer to companies looking for a more local refuelling solution and off-grid businesses running on diesel, who are looking to save on fuel costs and emissions. CNG Fuels owns and operates the UK's largest public access CNG refuelling facility, which is located in Crewe, Cheshire. We will be rolling out new CNG stations across the UK in 2015. ReFuels enters into long-term biomethane off-take agreement with Green2x 🌾 Green2x is developing one of the world’s largest biomethane production plants at the Port of Vordingborg, Denmark, capable of producing over 175 million normal cubic meters of biomethane, equal to ~2 TWh of energy produced per year, from late 2027/early 2028. The cutting-edge technology extracts energy from agricultural leftovers, such as straw, which remains after harvesting. “The commercial cooperation between Green2x and ReFuels is our largest offtake agreement to date and part of the strategy to ensure sufficient biomethane supply for our rapidly growing demand, which is driven by fleet owners looking for an economically viable solution to decarbonize their operations. Further, it demonstrates that our biomethane offtake experience and Bio-CNG station infrastructure makes us an attractive counterparty for large biomethane offtake agreements,” said Jasper Nillesen, Executive Director of ReFuels. ReFuels publishes key Bio-CNG station data for July 2024 from its CNG Fuels station network: 👉 A record 4,645 tonnes of Bio-CNG was dispensed from 14 public access refuelling stations in operation during July 2024, an increase of 22% from 3,799 tonnes in July 2023 (12 stations) 👉 The average daily dispensed volume was 150 tonnes in July 2024, compared to 148.6 and 122.5 tonnes dispensed per day in June 2024 and July 2023, respectively 👉 In July, a daily average of 1,760 vehicles refuelled at ReFuels' Bio-CNG stations, compared to 1,434 vehicles for the same period last year, corresponding to a 23% growth ***Note: ReFuels’ shares are listed on Euronext Growth Oslo under ticker 'REFL' and available through multiple trading platforms. The electricals retailer AO has made an investment of more than £2m in its fleet. By 2030 the company wants to run 90% of its vehicles on compressed natural gas (CNG). To achieve this goal AO added 10 CNG-powered Iveco tractor units to its fleet in 2022 and an additional 10 since then. This is estimated to cut up to 85% of CO2 emissions compared to running equivalent vehicles on diesel. 🔗 https://bit.ly/464xpjW #commercialmotor
