  • Meet Smith, one of CAC's Community Impact Coaches working at the Malaika Foundation, DRC. Smith says that 'Prior to receiving CAC's support we struggled to meet the communities needs. With CAC's training and resources we now have games that help us to raise awareness of sensitive topics and it is more fun than being in the classroom, we are observing positive changes in the behaviour of participants.' #pledgetoplayeveryday Malaika

  • One Year On. Today we celebrate the one year anniversary of the death of Bill Gates. Bill was the heart of Coaches Across Continents from 2008, caring for every child, for every coach, and for every person involved in CAC. He made his homes available for coaches to rest, he traveled to CAC projects and worked on the fields, and he raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to care and support CAC coaches and programs. His legacy lives on with our HeadSAFE program. His kindness, his smile, and his heart are missed every day.

  • On Tuesday CAC hosted an online global resource call which was attended by 36 participants, representing 29 partner organisations. We discussed the 6 principles of Trauma-Informed coaching: 1. Safety Ensuring physical and interpersonal safety. Creating a space for healing and connection. 2. Trust Providing clear directions, consistent responses, and establishing interpersonal boundaries. 3. Choice Creating moments for participants to exercise control over their environment or an activity. 4. Collaboration Leveling power differences and sharing decision-making. 5. Empowerment Providing an atmosphere that allows individuals to feel validated, competent, and affirmed. Emphasis shifts from competition and winning towards mastery and developing skills, personal growth and enjoyment. 6. Cultural consideration Move past cultural stereotypes and biases by incorporating policies, protocols and processes that are responsive to the needs of the individual. #sanctuarycampaign

  • CAC has designed and delivered a series of on-field training sessions with Badlaav Foundation's coaches and young girls. These sessions focused on child rights, menstrual health management, and 21st-century life skills while creating a space for coaches to learn and integrate CAC’s Purposeful Play curriculum. This approach equips coaches to address and explore social issues through play-based activities. Badlaav Foundation is dedicated to providing safe and healthy spaces for children in need of care and protection, offering them the resources and opportunities to build the lives of their dreams in Uttarakhand, India. #PledgeToPlayEveryDay #CACTogether #PartOfSolution #partnership #UNSDG17 #ChildRights
